While researching nursing home options for my aunt who has terminal cancer, I reached out to admissions for more information about this facility. Liz returned my call a few hours later. During our short conversation, I was interrupted repeatedly by Liz telling me to call back once the medicaid application was approved. I tried to explain the urgency of my aunts condition and that we were in the position to private pay until medicaid is approved, but she continued to interrupt me with requests to call back at a later time. I will not consider this facility an option for my loved one due to Liz' rudeness and lack of compassion during this difficult time.

I went to visit Mckeen and it was a gorgeous place. It was very clean, but very expensive. There was no entertainment. They had all the patients out in the lounge area. All of them were asleep with their neck twisted, sitting on chairs. It was very depressing. I wouldn’t want to put my dad there because I wanted him to be entertained and to feel alive.
