My husband moved into Bridgewater Park. I chose them for the distance from my house. They were close. A newer facility meant an upgrade on their equipment and their cleanliness. I also like the fact that they had single, private bedrooms. The food is not gourmet, but edible. He had a vegetable today. I tasted it, it was pretty good. His room is a standard room, with a single bed, a nice large bath with a shower, a TV, and a dresser, so it's fine. They had individual little dining areas instead of a big cafeteria. If you wanted to go out of your room they had nice table settings and places to sit that was very home-like. They do the laundry. I give them a four. I wouldn't go five. As with everyone, I believe they're all understaffed and sometimes the shifts are not communicating too well. I leave a message with one shift and the next day nobody knows anything about it. Like, what he wants to eat, or like he should have a protein drink with as well because he's not eating and not everybody knows that. So it seems like they should. So I would say that would be their downfall, and they are short-staffed.

My Mom is in nursing care at Bridgewater Park. This facility does their best to treat her like family. All rooms are singles, so Mom has her own room & bath. We live close by so get to visit often and observe the environment, food service, and staff . There are activities every day that she can participate in if she'd like to. If she's been quiet in her room for too long, they will come and coax her out of her room so she can mingle with the others and have camaraderie. They have movies, bingo, crafts, all kinds of items to appeal to all tastes. They offer seasonal activities and celebrations, and local talent come here to entertain. If Mom is under the weather, the staff calls us to keep us informed.
Bridgewater Park nursing care is a community. The residents have a council and conduct regular meetings to give feedback on the food, environment - anything that is on their minds. The Director and department heads (Food Service, Housekeeping, etc.) attend to hear firsthand any complaints. The comments are taken seriously, and efforts to please the residents is undertaken whenever possible.
Being in a wheelchair means that one of the most important things to look forward to are meals. The head chef ensures that balanced meals are served, and the menus are distributed in advance so if there's a something else that is preferred, you can write it in. I've personally tasted the food, and it's delicious.
It's never pleasant to have a loved one in a nursing home. Bridgewater Park eases our worries so much. Here, she is not a room number, she's Lorraine.

Bridgewater Park was confusing because it's such a big place, and we didn't like that. We had to wait so long for somebody to come. The people didn't seem as friendly as in the other facility. It was a rehab place, and it didn't look inviting at all. It was just a hospital bed, and we didn't like it at all. We were in the rehab where we should have gone to the assisted living part. They didn't tell us that until like a half hour later. We just didn't like that they didn't seem to pay much attention to us or get us to the right place, so that wasn't good. The facility looked pretty on the outside.

My wife was at Bridgewater Park for orthopedic rehabilitation. She had outstanding care, and that's one of the reasons we went back and looked. Her care was so good and the place was so nice, bright and fresh looking and clean. That's what led us back there. They provided a physical therapist to work with her three times a day. The staff was outstanding, the room was very, very nice, super clean, and very spacious. It was a private room, she didn't have to share it with anyone. The dining area was super, super nice. The quality of the food was good, the menu wasn't as extensive as you would find in a restaurant, but it was pretty extensive for a place like that. They always had at least three different entrees at night and several different vegetables and salads and things that went with it. Everything was like home cooking, it was really good. It's a fairly new facility so that gives them an advantage over some places. It's really well decorated and well furnished, they have arts and craft room, game room, TV room, movie room, and all kinds of different things for you to do. And one of the things that were nice is that the hallways were so spacious that you had plenty of room to walk even when using a walker. So there was never congestion threat of someone bumping into you, it's really easy to get around in.

My dad was in Bridgewater Park, in the rehab part. It's a very nice facility. I think the people who work there are very nice and very good. My dad really wasn't happy there. He didn't want to go back. He didn't think he had good care there because he had a lot of medical issues and he didn't think they took good care of him there. So that's the thing about that place, and he did not want to go back there. He was there for probably 90 days. My dad had some health problems that they didn't take care of and he was in a lot of pain. But then there are other parts where it was really good, because as soon as he got COVID, they put him in a different place, so they did take care of that. He didn't die of Covid, even though he had all that. So I do appreciate that part.

My partner is now staying in Bridgewater Park, and I think it's excellent. I just wish there was more therapy. I can't seem to get enough therapy for him here as much as I want, but it's good. The whole atmosphere is nice, and the staff here is excellent. The facility is beautiful, and it's new. His room is a private and it's set up very nicely. It's more like a hotel room than it is a hospital room, but I think that cleanliness could be a slight bit better.
