Residents are treated very poorly at times. If you care about your loved ones do not send them here. Poor food No activities Stay in rooms all day Only a couple of phones No mail

I was at the facility for approx 2 weeks following a hip fracture. I really was happy with my care and especially the therapy I received. I was discharged home after and really do miss the staff!!!Thank you for all you did for me!

1 year. 4 months of that year was covid. That's the time it took for dad to go from "rehab" to getting him out of there because no rehab was happening! They do a group setting, supposedly, and dad got no help. When he went in, he could stand and walk with his walker. We moved him recently and he can't even stand. He's got bed sores that may never heal, from not being moved. Keep in mind, he was there for rehab!!!! Those months of covid and no one to watch what was happening to him proved to be horrible for him. He was calling us daily at the end, asking us to get him out of there. When we did, they sent no instructions, no equipment (we had to get a wheel chair while on the road to his new home). And now with so little strength, we have had to call in hospice. He's very upset That he didn't get a chance to strengthen through rehab. If you have a lived one in there, get them out quickly!!! Please don't send your loved one here! Rooms are dingy, I never did talk with a staff member, and there are little to no activities.

I only rated them one star because this website probably wouldn't allow it to go through without any. First impressions are very important to me and my family. Absolutely nothing went right from day one! First of all, no one acknowledged us when we first arrived so we didn't feel very welcome. Because my mom was being discharged from a hospital, they knew my mom was going to arrive the very next day, but when my mom went to her room for the first time and asked to be laid down we discovered the bed wasn't working. My mom, who has a stage 3 bed sore on her coccix, was forced to sit in a wheel chair with no cushion for approximately an hour. We were just baffled and trying to stay out of the way for the staff to do their jobs because it was so chaotic in the halls. I didn't think to ask for a cushion because we didn't think it would take so long for them to get her into her bed. The building is dirty looking and my mom's room was less than desirable. The bathroom door would stick in the door jam, so anyone who wasn't stronger than the average teenager wouldn't be able to use the toilet. You would literally have to throw your body weight backwards while gripping the handle to open it. can you say FALL RISK?!!! The first night my mom was there she woke up in the middle of the night and activated the call light. She said she watched the clock for 45 minutes until someone finally acknowledged her. The nurse who came in didn't help, only told my mom she would go get someone to help her. I've heard that a lot about nursing home RNs and LPNs, they seem to act like they are above menial tasks and assume that only CNAs should do the hard, dirty work. I'd like to add that Parkview's RNs and LPNs always acknowledged my mom and helped her to the toilet and were so caring and loving. I think someone at Westwind nursing home needs to check for a pulse! By leaving this review, I hope to help another family and prevent them from having a nightmare of a time like we have experienced.

We took my mother in-law there for a short stay. From the time she arrived from hospital nothing went right. The medication was messed up she didn't get the time with any one to really explain what she was getting, nothing. They flat out do not give the care as they should be. My mother in-law is very alert and still knows everything, this was a nightmare. With the medication being note correct she was actually feeling worse being there.
