Don’t waste your time or money. Get the real review. Rooms are small especially when you have a roommate. Staff don’t let the slow residents speak. Always interrupting. Activities are Bingo and that’s about it. No amenities. You have to ask for just about everything, bed made, ice water, clean towels, showers, etc. they are always short staffed, the administration makes up rules and support staff and not residents. Abuse and neglect are common and they treat you like children instead of adults. We have to stay here because we have no place to go. We are just warehoused.

In the last year, Boulder Manor has made some really beneficial changes. They are doing a great job at running the facility, as well as, providing for each patients needs! Monica R. in the business office has been so helpful! The staff RN's, like Crystal who is with the dementia patients are wonderful! They keep me up to date on how my mother is doing and I can and do call them myself and they appreciate it. When I have visited my mother there, she has been clean, had a clean room in calm, comfortable environment. The staff are her friends! My mother considers it her home and has no complaints. I'm so Thankful!!!

I wanted to take the time to communicate how greatful my friend who is stay there. He feels this way because, in his words "the leadership is making all the right moves by making smart, professional decisions on how to respond to this terrible pandemic". He also bragged on the staff of how heroic they are for showing up every day and the compation they show to the most vulnerable part of our society. He can't go on line to write a review so I'm doing it for him. I am also very greatful for the comfort I have knowing he is in good hands. Paul Plasencia.

I have a very good friend residing in your facility. He speaks very well not only of the food , the service , and the care provided by the excellent staff. He has been very impressed also by the leadership in the facility, particularly as provided by the director.
The facility is clean and hygienic and is notable for the agreeable, professional, kind and caring attitude of the nurses and all the staff.
Although, I'm very concerned about the corona virus and the quarantine situation, I am confident that my friend is in very capable hands.
Sincerely, Auntie Em

I have a very good friend that moved into this facility and has been very please with it. His last facility was very disappointing and was unsure about moving, since that time he is very happy he made the commitment and discision to relocate. The facility is cleaner, the food is better, and staff is more accommodating!
Thanks,
Mike

I am very happy living here. This place is clean and well maintained. The food is great along with the people who prepare it. Things are managed and people are lead. The director lives by that saying. She leads a energetic, hands on management team. The nurses and nurse assistants are kind caring and very professional. That's it, Jack W

The daily activities are particularly impressive to me. A wide variety is offered several times a day from Black Jack to listening to live classical piano. What especially caught my attention was the tender care and patience the staff gives the clients. They seem to have a special sense as to who needs what - a drink of water - a blanket adjusted, etc. Good job activities staff! You go above and beyond and make my days more enjoyable.

I was in rehab and then long term care at this facility 2016. The pros were- excellent rehab facility with caring therapist, large rehab room with tv, Great activity program.
The cons were: Urine smell in the halls, Some of the staff were over worked and care was poor. It usually took a hour or so to get a response if you called for a nurse. Poor administration and response to basic needs Horrible doctor on staff.

I wish I could give negative stars. This place is a human rights violation. The memory care unit is out of a horror movie. We saw urine, feces, and blood in a room that had "just been cleaned". They should rescue the poor souls "living" here, burn it to the ground, and have a priest exorcise the ashes. If you care at all about the one you are looking for care for, do not even approach this nightmare.

I am the friend of a resident in Boulder Manor. The first thing one notices upon arrival at Boulder Manor is the pervading smell of urine everywhere. In the times that I visited my friend there, I saw a resident covered in dried blood whose clothes were completely soaked in urine; a resident who was kept in his room naked and covered in feces; residents who were clearly suffering from dementia screamed at by nurse aides, left alone in their wheelchairs in the hallway, and pushed up to tables at mealtimes but never assisted with their meals, so they couldn't even eat. This place is like a horror show where elderly people are being tortured; it should be shut down and burned to the ground.

Of all of them I’ve looked at so far, I like Boulder Manor the best. The rooms were nice. We ate some good food there. I liked the staff, who were all very nice. It looked like they had a lot of different activities for men and women, like zumba and bingo, a bunch of card games, and people who come in to play music and tell stories.

My grandfather was here for 2 weeks of respite care. I visited him daily and at various times of the day. Every time I visited, I found my grandfather sitting in a wheelchair, in a dark room, staring at the walls. His "roommate" always asked for me to help him with pain/toileting/because no staff rarely responded to his calls. Television remote was broken and there was nothing to do but sit. We transferred to a different facility after the third night of listening to his roommate wail in pain all night.
17 days after moving him out, we received a packet from Boulder Manor asking us to sign forms so our grandfather could continue to stay there. They had no idea that they had discharged him two weeks before! I would never send a loved one that I care about to this facility! They don't know who their patients are.

Great experiance with the manor in Boulder. Really like the personal touch while patient was in the Manor and the personal touch after dads release.
The extra length the staff made to help set up professionals to come to our home
and work with dad with his physical theraphy.

Good caregivers, particularly some of the nurses. Social workers thoughtful also. However, don't use their laundry services. They misplaced all of my mother's clothes that she had brought with her. I had to go to the laundry room four times to try to find her clothes. They started putting other peoples' clothes on her. We never did find them all, even though her name was written in marker on them.
