I love Villa Siena. I just felt comfortable there. It was a beautiful facility. The only drawback would be the room itself. The TV was only 29 inches. There's storage for each resident, but the space for the TV is limiting. There is not a whole lot of room for a person's personal belongings, like a chair or pictures; so that's a drawback. There wasn't any space. It was like shelving, TV's alcove, and drawers below with a little bit of a space (not big enough for a chair). You wouldn't be able to move it. It was more like a hospital room with respect to the space. There was a full bath. The layout in the individual room was more like a hospital room. The grounds were beautiful, and the building itself was gorgeous. They not only have assisted living, but they have skilled nursing, so that's why it was more like a hospital setting. I didn't see the assisted living section which was connected to it because my dad is kind of between skilled nursing and assisted living. The staff was very nice. Everybody was very nice. I didn't see any crazies walking by or wheeling by. It seemed that the level of cognition was a little bit higher at that facility. The building and the grounds themselves were a selling point. They have activities, but this is run by Catholic Charities. Since my dad is not religious, we really didn't really go into it. They have exercise, bingo and so forth. If I had to pick a place right now, I would choose this one because of the location. It is 45 minutes away.
