This place seems to be nice, but it is a disorganized, shabby run mess! It is depressing just stepping into this place. Outdated look and feel, with clueless staff that make false promises. Run, don't walk, away.

The PT staff was very good with my Mom while she was there for two weeks. The problems my family had with Cedar Crest are as follows: The management and nursing staff was polite for the most part but the follow through with my mothers needs was very poor. We had to be present for us to feel confident that my mothers needs would be met. We hired outside help for mom when we were not able to personally be there on site at Cedar Crest. Secondly there was a lack of accountability among the staff, we did not feel confident our requests were heard so as to get results.

This facility is horrible. My husband was taken there September 2, 2020. Thank God he is being transferred tomorrow morning. They give patients very little attention. A gentleman that share a room with my husband would cry out for help constantly and they would ignore him. My husband fell off the wheelchair several times (at least three that I know of) and injured himself after I repeatedly asked them not to leave him in a wheelchair unattended. He fell off the bed and injured himself and eventually they decided that my husband was hard to deal with and was being disruptive at night and at the suggestion of the Administrator (someone named Bethany) I was asked to sit with him from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. I agreed and did agree to wear a mask however the mask that I typically wore when visiting my husband at the window I was told that I needed to wear a special mask which I had not agreed to but I wanted to be with my husband and also because they said they were short staffed during these hours and could not control him so I would be helping the staff as well. I have been doing this for about three weeks agreed to get COVID tested when I was told to do so and did the best I could. Most of the staff are friendly and do what they can. The rehab staff was very good. However, several times I requested for them to dress my husband since he got a lot of window visitors and repeatedly I would walk in and find him in a diaper which made his friends uncomfortable .One time I arrived there to learn that a couple of his friends visited him at the window and when I got in his room I see him in a diaper and poop all over his thigh. This is carelessness at it’s best and taking away his dignity. After I repeatedly told them to keep him dressed during the day. So my husband started relaxing once I was allowed to visit and did not give them any more problems. The staff seemed to be happy and relieved I was there for him because it helped them in the end. Today was my last day visiting my husband because I was getting him transferred to another facility and all of the sudden comes in this woman screaming at me because she caught me moving my mask up to take a breath because this mask made it hard to breathe...it was thick and very tight and it made me hot and sweaty. I tried to explain to her why but she was screaming so loud and told me to leave the building. I told her to not yell at me because she was being rude and unprofessional and I could not believe someone like her with such a short fuse can be an Administrator over anything never mind a nursing care facility. She screamed so loud saying get out of my building and so I did what she asked. What bothers me more than anything is that my husband watched her scream at me like that and became very panicked. He already had two strokes and this psychopath doesn’t even consider how her behavior harmed my husband the person under her care. It was a complete nightmare and I pray that this review helps others not to go through what I just went through. Bethany...you really need help with your behavior and I truly believe you have not matured enough to have that position that affects so many of the most vulnerable. So glad to get my husband out of there. With all the bad experiences at this facility I was not even going to write any kind of review but after this so called Administrator had this kind of meltdown to where the staff all lined up in the hallway scared because of her screaming and the way my husband was so affected by this I realize she has no business in the care of patients because she has no self control.

The staff here do not care about the patients. This place is dirty & the residents all suffer from pneumonia & MRSA. My aunt was severely dehydrated & needed hospitalization. Upper management is very passive when questioned regarding lack of care. Would not recommend this establishment at all.

You have to keep asking and reminding staff of the patients' needs even tho it's discussed initially.

This place is horrible. When people introduce here, they said this is a good facility. But when my friends try to reach them, barely can reach. She called one hour. Finally she had to call 911. I don't suggested anyone come over here. This is a dead place.

My wife was in Cedar Crest for about a month and a half in a shared room. They had good activities and did some outside. The people working there were very nice, and the food was good.

My grandmother used to be in Cedar Crest. It actually used to be a convent; there were different wings. The grounds were beautiful. They had a lot of activities. She played blackjack, bingo, dominoes, and other games. It looked good, but it was not clean. The room was a little small too. Their staff was horrible. They don’t take care of their patients. They told us that they’re only required to give 2 hours a day, and that’s all. So if you’re not able to drink by yourself, you don’t get water. My grandmother was dehydrated 3 times.
