My father was a tall man, he was admitting for rehabilitation. My Dad had his leg amputated. His nurse came to about his armpit. She drop him, probably weight and height issue. He past shortly. I pray this problem does not happen to your love one. Or that staff will speak up if unable for task and ask for HELP.

I visit my mother almost every day. I am not sure how heavy and difficult the assignment is for the staff but for sure negligent and ignorance are very common. It is not unusual to see resistance in a wheelchair in the middle of the hallway calling for help and nurses aid passing them and totally ignoring them. It seems like they became totally blind and deaf. Even the nurses at the nursing station who sitting at the computer act like they don't hear it. Or perhaps they believe attending to the resident's needs is not their priority. Call bell goes on for a very long time before someone to answer it. When u ask a question regarding u loved one care and their attendance they do not hesitate to lie or cover-up in order to look good. It is so sad to see their in traction with residents when they have been changing their soil's clothing. Very rough and rude. I totally understand that it is a very difficult job and a great shortage yet it is heartbreaking to see ur family suffering as a result.

The staff is not as attentive as describe when first choosing this facility. My mother had the same top on for 4 days before I asked them to change her. She also had to call out numerous times for a bedpan. She finally called me on my cell to ask for my help. This is not even close to "quality" care. They are understaffed with CNA's. Never again will I recommend this place.

We had a tour at Stonebrook, and the first thing we noticed upon arriving is that the whole place is spotless. This made us feel this is the right location for our mom. The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing. There was no tense feeling that we got. The entire staff greeted us with a smile and made eye contact, which even confirmed more that this would be appropriate location. They made us feel comfortable. The whole place was outstanding.

My dad was at Stonebrook Healthcare Center for two weeks for his rehab. Overall, the experience was extremely poor. He was not well cared for, not bathed as per schedule, nor fed as well. The care was extremely poor. When my stepmother tried to move him, they told her that he cannot go back to the hospital. The whole thing was a bad experience. It’s an older facility and dark but nice.

Right now my friend is at Stonebrook and it's a good nursing home. They were great. I love the staff there. I have no complaints about this facility, they are fantastic. The nurses are very friendly and very caring.

I visited 5 facilities and the one that I wanted the most for my mother was Stonebrook. It was excellent and I would give it a 5-star rating for everything. But I couldn't get her in there. Instead, I opted for a facility that is closer to my home, so it's easier for me to go there everyday.

I've had a lot of experience with Stonebrook Convalescent, and I really, really like it. It's an excellent skilled nursing facility. It's especially good for anyone going for rehab. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy are all excellent. It's not a fancy facility. It's older and plain. But it's clean, light-filled, and airy. And it's well kept up. They do a nice job of decorating for the holidays, too. Meals, including vegetarian meals, are good. The entire staff is knowledgeable, attentive, involved. The docs pay close attention. And the patients do well: They progress and go home. The only downsides: It's hard to get in, and parking is a nightmare.

My mother was admitted to a room that had a broken air conditioner in July,2007 and a bed that had a crank not a power bed. I was able to move her the next day to a private room, but had to rent a power bed, bring our own tv and telephone. She was left outside in over 90 degrees in the patio unattended and almost fainted. The food was awful. They let patients with mental problems walk around and in fact blocked my mother from entering her room. I had to bring home cooked food. She was suppose to get an xray of her chest before discharge, because she had a cough. They never took the xray and from discharge from this facilit I took my mom to Mt Diablo Hospital where she was admitted for a respiratory infection. I would not recommend this facility.
