I was sent to this facility by Kaiser to rehab from my disability (lower extremities resulting from trauma and subsequent back surgery), what I experienced is that this facility has all kinds of patients with different needs all mixed together and housed in unsanitary conditions and less than ideal care.
I will further expand my
In all fairness, personnel
have been phenomenal in
their humanistic approach
and concern for patients; I, however, feel that the higiene and cleanliness standards could use an upward effort especially
in these times when we
face new dangers of contagious diseases and
contamination. I feel that a revision of how this facility is managed is in order for the benefit of all concerned including employees.

This rehab is terrible the noise at night is so bad that the patients can’t sleep the nurses laughing cackle in the hallway at night. The daytime people are OK and I assume that’s only because there’s visitors. My wife who is a patient there she has observe them every night the people that I have all the paperwork or the I don’t know what you were calling the supervisors of our doctor sent a release from my wife and it was confirmed that it was received now they’re telling us they can’t find it and they don’t think it’s been received there’s just too much miss information given by the people at this place I do not recommend them. Keep your family member safe and find another place to put them

The care staff are wonderful people. However, the Social worker Darnesha should be fired. My Sister has been sent home from the Rehab with no setup for equipment that was promised to be ordered which is why they held my Sister from being discharged. She set up no In Home Health for my Sister to have wound care. My Sister just spent 4 mo. In the hospital and 1 month at the Rehab getting her wounds cared for. She was sent home with open skin not covered, no bandages or instructions. And this place has NO Doctors or Nurses at the site!! They just come in for as needed basis. That is ridiculous!! I have left messages for the Social worker for a week, as has my Sister, my Husband and my Mother. No call back from Darnesha! No return calls from the Director of the facility either.

My brother, a Veteran, passed away on October 9, 2020. I was able to have him transferred to Loma Linda University Hospital, and four hours after he left Reche Canyon he died. I didn’t want him to die at this most negligent facility. His death certificate stated COD cardiopulmonary failure, which was caused by SEPSIS from a bedsore the size of a saucer and high levels of POTASSIUM. He was COVID negative. How the staff allowed a patient on a ventilator to get to that point shows the negligence that this facility is well known for. We were not in favor of his being sent to sub par Reche Canyon, but had no choice since the insurance company needed to cut costs. And therein lies another guilty party. Another casualty because money was saved and the bottom dollar won.

My husband I were both very happy with care he received at Reche Canyon, he got his physical therapy that challenged him and was helpful. There was plenty of room in the shared room. Closet space was spacious. My husband very much enjoyd the meals he was served, always had enough to eat. The staff was great very nice and attentive. The activity director gives it here all, activities everyday.

The level of incompetence and outdated modes of patient care are appalling. As a patient there for nearly 4 months last year, I witnessed repeated violations of patient cross contamination due to not following infection control standards even after repeatedly alerting and informing staffing supervisors and administration personnel. Some of the most egregious violations of standards for hygiene and infection control were shockingly disturbing. Patients would be left unattended for upwards of several hours at times. And the attention to patient physical therapy needs was hurried and hit or miss at best. Basic equipment necessary for proper rehabilitation were often missing, unavailable or in non-working order. Fundamentally needed supplies were frequently unavailable as well.

I was worried at first. There are so many rehabs with horrible reviews. However, our experience with Reche Canyon Rehab was excellent. All staff were caring and professional. The facility was clean and my sister had the best of care. She was transferred to Reche Canyon Rehab after being in Corona Regional Hospital for one month and where she received a tracheotomy and feeding tube. She was unable to walk or talk when she entered Reche Canyon Rehab. Her tracheotomy and feeding tube were removed during her stay at the rehab and when she was discharged, she was able to talk and walk again. I am so thankful for the medical and therapeutic services that all staff provided. Nurses Tiffany, Matilda and Todd (there are more but I don't know their names), CNAs Yvonne, Crystal and Johnny (again more CNAs whose names I can't recall), PT Alvin and many others, RTs and RNA Terry, all took excellent care of my sister. There are so many who assisted my sister even though they were not assigned to help her. No one had the attitude, "It's not my job"! No one should be afraid to have his/her loved one stay here. Patients "Come here, get well, and go home."

I had my mother in this facility for a month. The place looks wonderful and clean and not to mention smelling good all the time.. Staff is very wonderful especially Charge Nurses and CNA's in hall one on station 1.. Always very kind gretting you with a smile on their faces every time you walk in. Very caring and very attendant to call lights. I wish i can say the same for the nurses at the station, they are always on their cellphones and being loud... What I also absorbed was the dsd, named micheal, he is not friendly and always exploiting the cna's to the max. He needs to get retrained and be more humble and down to earth. (Felt really bad for all the cna's, he has them working like slaves)... Physical Therapy were wonderful.. The food was not bad at all compared to other facilities.

My father was in Reche Canyon Rehab for almost 2 months. He got pneumonia twice being there, and he was sent to the hospital 2 different times. They weren't very aggressive with physical therapy. I was told multiple times by one of his roommates that he was neglected a lot by the rehab. The food was satisfactory. He wasn't always thrilled about it, but he said it was better than hospital food. They did offer a lot of senior activities like bingo and games. Going in there is something very easy to deal with if you're younger, but being older, unless you have somebody or your loved one, they don't seem to be as caring and active. However, the nurses were excellent. They helped us out and gave a lot of information.

My husband was in Reche Canyon, which was probably one of the nicest ones we were in. I felt they were short staffed because my husband's complaint was that he was left alone and didn't get service when he rang the bell. However, the nurses' assistants were terrific and had enough to do, but they never walked slowly. He played poker and bingo.

I visited Reche only once or twice. It was more of a long stay hospital care. I wasn’t too impressed. It did not smell good, and it was not personable at all. The people were nice when you came in, and their residents were nice, but I much rather had the other place I visited. Not all of the residents seemed happy. The grounds were not great, but they were not in bad shape. They were just old and had not much to it. For what they were, they were being kept up. It did not look like there was much of a place to go outside and sit. Although you would find chairs out there, there was nothing to look at. It was in the middle of the city and you would be looking at the road or another building.

My mom at Reche Canyon but not for long, and I wish they had her stay longer for her to get better, but they ended kicking my mom out. The rooms were clean, but it doesn't seem like there was a lot of space inside the room. I guess the food was OK.

My father was in Reche Canyon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center a couple of times, and they were very good. They were attentive, and it seemed like they had enough staff to handle the patients they had. They would wheel people out into different general areas where they could watch a different TV with people and socialize a little bit. The people were very nice. It seemed to be very good.

Mom was at Reche Canyon. Their care service seemed better than the facilities that we had been before. Some of the patients there have bad conditions, but they do have qualified caregivers. The CNAs were much better than at our previous facility. The place seemed clean, and their rehab department was very good. Mom went there in a really bad shape, and she left with enough ability to come home to try to get better, which she did. They did what they needed to do.
