Grand Terrace Care Center was excellent. My sister-in-law had a leg wound and she was having a hard time getting that healed and the doctor there was so nice and got that done. The therapy was marvelous. She wasn't walking at all, and they got her up walking with help. The medical care was good, and the staff was sensitive to her needs. We always felt comfortable visiting there. I went to their Cinco De Mayo. They made an effort to do activities. They had a dayroom where they eat sometimes. The facility was clean and neat, and the food was good. They gave her snacks. She was pretty thin when she got there, and she thrived there. The medicine people were good as were the nurses, and the people who took care of her, kept her clean and bathed her. The social worker was wonderful and got us a wheelchair. I'm very pleased with all of that. I had a very positive experience.

My mom is at Grand Terrace Health Care Center, and so far so good. She's been there for almost a month now. I am very pleased that they are working with her to get more stable on her feet. The facility was really clean. If anybody would need rehab, I would certainly recommend this place.

I often visited a friend of mine staying at this facility after he had surgery for esophogeal cancer. Unfortunately after surgery he was unable to speak and could not breathe without oxygen. They provided him with various means of communicating, such as erasable boards and portable typing equipment. When I visited they would always wheel him outside with his oxygen equipment, so he could have a chance to be outside. They were polite and accomodating at all times, providing different outdoor areas for our visits. If they knew what time I was arriving they would already have him set up with portable equipment for his trip outside. They were upbeat and friendly and the accomodations were clean. They got to know me and would ask personal questions based on things I had shared, making me feel they cared about me as well as their patient.
