My relative enjoys the movies, craft classes and weekly Bingo. The programs are run to include everyone and the staff are very kind. All of the meals have been very good with a large variety. Overall, they do a great job - getting everyone involved in daily activities and are kind and patient with all the residents.

We looked at the memory care and assisted living at Harmony at Southridge for my mom. It looks like a pleasant place to live. The rooms were nice. The thing I liked about the memory care is that the rooms were small, but we were assured that they would be spending a lot of time, and encourage them to spend a lot of time outside of their rooms in the common areas, and so that expands her living area and contact with other people. The rooms in some of the other facilities that we've seen are bigger than those rooms, but my mother currently spends almost all of her time in her room, and that's why I say the common areas which expand her living space make it more pleasant, because you're interacting with other people. That is what was attractive to me and to my sister. We only saw our tour person and didn't really talk to other staff, but she was very pleasant, informative, and personable. She told us that she would get back to us with answers to certain questions, and she followed through with that. It looked very clean, I didn't see any maintenance people, and I didn't see anything broken. It looked very nice. They offered activities, a movie theater, a pub, a beauty shop, bingo place, and other areas where they could involve themselves, maybe with people who have similar interests. It's hard to do when you have a memory issue, but nevertheless.
