I wanted my husband in full nursing, but Applewood of Brookfield was going to put him in the memory care, and that's not suitable for my husband's needs. The place was clean, but I didn't get a sense of professionalism there. I was supposed to be met by one of two people, but no one was there when I showed up. A nurse took me around, but she didn't know how to give tours. I did not feel comfortable there. The room looked adequate. Their dining area looked well cared for. They have a garden area, but of course it is cold, so it is not open this time of the year. Applewood of Brookfield was definitely above average, but I didn't feel warm and welcome there. They need to keep their appointments and be more cooperative with people who are coming in.
