We went to look at Westbrooke Manor Assisted Living & Memory Care. We only saw one resident and all the rest of the people were in their rooms, which we found very odd. None of the people were in any of the common areas except for one person we saw. There was a very small room where this person was doing a jigsaw puzzle. The location was very nice in the country. The facility was bright and clean, but it just seemed odd that where were all the people? They all just seemed to be in their rooms, and we found that very strange that no one was out and about interacting with anyone. The staff was good. We interacted with one person, Linda Carlson, and she said she was the owner, and she was the one that conducted the tour. There seemed like a lack of any attention to the residents. We didn't know of any type of activities, and it seemed like they were too locked down. Their Covid protocols were very locked down like you could not just come and go as you pleased with your loved one. You couldn't come and just pick them up without making an appointment, you had to schedule a visit. But this was late November when COVID wasn't even as bad as it is right now. It seemed too locked down. They had a beauty shop where they had a person come in to do the client's hair. As far as any scheduled activities, they were all on hold because of COVID, so they had no outings and no scheduled activities. They didn't have anything going on.
