We put our mother in memory care at Oak Park Place because we loved the location and design of the facility. Unfortunately this faculty wasn't staffed with enough qualified people to care for residents who needed help with medication, getting out of bed, using the restroom, laundry, and showering. There were only 2 people working during the nighttime shifts for the entire facility and some residents require a 2 person assist which left no caregivers available in areas such as memory care. There has been a lot of turn over of staff, nurses, and administration in 2022 and the memory care residents suffered because of this facility being understaffed and from lack of care and training. Check out the Wisconsin DHS (Department of Human Services report before putting your loved one in this facility.

My father is at Oak Park Place Menasha. I'm not allowed to go in the building because of COVID. I met only two people on the staff and I got to see the room the day I moved him in and that was it. His room is fine; it's a studio. It has a very nice, homey, woodsy type thing that my father would like. We can only visit him outside for a half hour and that's it. The surroundings are nice. It has wildlife like deer and turkeys, and it's in a residential area. It's all just woods and the buildings in the middle, and it's very nice. He likes it there and the staff is very nice. It's quite expensive. He's in memory care and he's a level three, so he's the closest to the nurses' station. The first time we were gonna move him there they rejected him because he wasn't able to do anything, but they decided that they could take care of him and provide him with therapy.

Just a warning, do not put your loved ones here. They make a bunch of promises to you and have a nice facility to get you in the door, but the quality of care is so low. My grandpa was in memory care here and did not receive the care he was paying for. They fed him, but that's about it. Didn't help him with hearing aids, didn't clean his clothes ever or his bathroom, didn't try to get him out of his room at all. Very sad. Took him elsewhere and found a much more caring place with friendlier staff.

Kristen M. has been a super contact for Oak Park Place. Her patience in dealing with us for months as we mulled over what to do with Susan as her dementia got worse. We are confident through her efforts that Oak Park Place is right for her.

Oak Park Place Menasha was very nice, but the memory care area was much larger than another place I visited and didn't seem as well-staffed. There were people in different areas watching TV. The rooms were very nice and a little larger. I saw a common room where they had their meals.
