Common areas include large dining & social room for meals, parties and entertainment, a bistro hosting weekly Happy Hour, beauty/barber salon, library with gorgeous fireplace, private dining room for intimate family gatherings, gardens, patios, walkways and lovely lawns and landscaping. Residents of Tennyson Retirement Living live in apartments with private baths, are served three home-cooked meals daily, enjoy the convenience of housekeeping and linen service, and participate in daily social and recreational activities while receiving assistance with personal care and medications.

Both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents are welcome. Professional staff are on duty around the clock, and a registered nurse (RN) is on call 24/7. Safety and security are further enhanced by an Emergency Call System (ECS) in each apartment that allows residents to press a button and summon a staff member. Residents suffering from any form of dementia do not receive an ECS button but do enjoy scheduled visits from our staff....some each hour, others more frequently.

We do not believe in a regimented, one-size-fits-all approach. Uniquely, Tennyson Retirement Living offers personalized care that is solely based on individual needs. Residents and their families discretely choose the level of care that meets their unique situations.

At Tennyson Retirement Living, I was very disappointed in the tour I received. We were going through the tour and maybe 10 minutes into it, one of the residents wanted to tag along with the girl that was giving the tour. To me, that's very unprofessional. If you want marketing people, have them market. It was a 20-minute tour, and the places I've been to, all of them have been over an hour and 15 minutes, so I wasn't thrilled with Tennyson Retirement Living. I only saw five staff people during the time I was there. Most of the place was clean, but I was there for 20 minutes, and you just don't get a feel for things, and you aren't able to answer questions. There's a place and time for staff to take care of the residents and there's a place and time to market what you have available to the public, and that was not represented the majority of the time there. It seemed like I was a bother to come to the building to take a tour of it, and if that's the way they feel, then they shouldn't be on the list to have people come and tour because they didn't do their business fairly. They have a nice facility, but I wish they could have just done it more slowly or had more time at the very end to go over things, but that wasn't the case.
