Oak Park Place is a really nice clean place with a great facility layout for memory care with long hall and grate lighting. Each hall ends with nice seating area all lots of windows to look out and see some nature and wildlife. I recommend everyone to check out the facility to accommodate your loved one. The staff is always there to help and am happy my mom was so comfortable in her last couple years. I search and looked at a lot of facilities and would choose this one again. They have a saloon and have daily activities for those who can still enjoy fun times. There is not a cost for a loved ones great care. My two sisters and myself all got to experience it first hand visiting on a weekly basis. So take the guess work out of their care. Rooms are nicely designed. Staff is always helpful and we’re there through my moms first and last days.

I visited Oak Park Place Green Bay, WI. I thought it was marvelous, and that's where we'd like to end up, but they have a waitlist, as does everyone. The community was very active. The overall experience was enlightening because I had seen some other facilities that didn't even come close to them. They keep their people very active, whether it's the memory unit or whether it's the assisted living unit. It's far better than any of the others I have seen so far. They have a lot of good activities, like if they choose to paint something, they can. They have an entire room with an instructor that will help you with those activities. So, nobody's sitting around and waiting for the end of life. I don't think anybody ever leaves that place because they're unhappy. I know they have entertainment that comes in. For example, my mom is an artist, so she would have been able to use her oils with supervision because she is 96, but she would have been able to do those things. They have a garden. She makes jewelry, and she could do all of that stuff there. The dining area was very nice and very clean. I have not tried their food; it was just a tour. The person who gave me the tour, her name's Lisa, she was very personable, a very nice person, and very thorough. I really didn't get a chance to see the inside of the studios from Memory Care because they were all occupied. I could see them as I walked through the hall, and they all seemed quite nice. I did tour one of the rooms in the assisted living, and it was very nice. They have a variety of rooms. They have one-bedrooms and two different sizes of studios. The studios were pretty much larger than you see in other places.

We toured Oak Park Place Green Bay for my mom. The layout was great. It felt like an apartment building, more so than a facility, so, it had a more homey feel to it. The staff is very friendly. The girl who was giving us the tour was from the business office, but she knew all of the residents' names and all the staff names, and I appreciated that. The room is spacious. It felt homey versus like a clinical or sterile environment. But the rooms were big, the closets were big, and the bathrooms were very nice and very accommodating. The dining area is very open with lots of different types of tables and spaces. Some were by the window, and some were moved around. It was very, very wide. The building is pretty new, so it had the new look and feel to it. The interaction that I had with them was very good. They seem very friendly. I didn't talk exclusively one on one with any of them when we were on our tour, but what I saw when they were caring for and working with the residents there was very good.

The staff at Oak Park Place Green Bay were very amazing, helpful people. The facilities were great, but it just doesn't work for us. They have great walk-in showers, which is what my mother needs. They have happy hours and things like that that she might enjoy, and they have great outdoor views. As far as going for walks in the garden, that would be great. It was very well-kept; they have a good facility. The staff who gave the tour was amazing, and she was very, very helpful.

My husband seems to like Oak Park Place. He had a few issues the first week, but I addressed them and things have been better. I'm pretty happy so far because I would not hesitate to take him out if I wasn't happy. His apartment is fine. It has a very spacious layout. He likes to walk, and he's got plenty of room to walk. They have sunrooms at the end of each hallway, and he'll go sit in there and take a nap on the couch. They have it laid out like in a T. The staff is pretty nice. It's a newer facility, and they really try to engage the residents there, so they sleep better at night, and I like that. You don't see many of them sitting in a chair hung over. They have three and a half activity people there, so there's always someone doing something with a group. They're not just sitting there staring at the TV.
