Brookdale Silver Lake is pretty good. They are friendly and helpful. We have no complaints. My dad has a nice room. It's a small, but cozy. It's pretty much what we're looking for. It just seems like a good place for my dad. The dining area is clean and the meals are really pretty good.

Brookdale Silver Lake is definitely the ritziest memory care you'll get. It's top-notch. You pay extra, but it's also very geared towards the best experience for memory care patients. It is what impressed me the most. They charge the most, but they also provide the most services. They remodeled it to look like an old-time city street to jog people's memories of the past. They have an excellent craft area, kitchen area, and decorations galore. There's constantly stuff going on. It's a premier facility for memory care patients. They're a great facility. They know memory care the best out of all the places that I've observed.

My husband is in Brookdale Silver Lake. It's excellent, but it's too expensive. It all costs money, but I know they do a lot of work. They are very caring. They seem to know each of their residents and I've never heard them ever raising their voice, but they can still get the resident to comply. It takes a while sometimes, but they do it without using physical strength or strong words. My husband can't feed himself, but he's a good eater. I'm sure if he didn't like it, he wouldn't eat it. From what I know, the food is good. They have programs that go on every day from exercise to gardening and cooking. They have a program that they can put on the television that may show national parks or programs that have topics for conversation. They make crafts during holidays. I think they're doing an excellent job.

Brookdale Silver Lake was very nice and very clean. I liked the layout. Jason did a very good job of showing me the facility, and I got to talk to the executive director for a while about a couple of their programs. I talked to one of the staff members that's been there for 18 years, so that was very nice. The rooms were nice-sized and looked bright. It was empty, but they had beds in them to show us what it would look like. They had an exercise class that was going when I was there, but they also do artwork, and he explained the different things that they do. The executive director also mentioned something about them doing some sewing, where they make little comfort pillows, and then they donate them, which is nice. They also have gardening and they have a beautiful little walking path. The staff I met were all really nice.

After reading older reviews of this place I was super skeptical!

Every time I visited my family member, there was pee on one of the furniture items in the tv lounge. I get accidents happen but they need to clean it faster. It looks like they’re broke and don’t want to spend money on more furniture.

My mom is living at Brookdale Silver Lake, and it's been good. The rooms are good enough and a little bit spacious. It looks like they're having a good time with the activities. The food is good, and they have pretty balanced meals. They have gym classes and chair exercises. There's a nice little area in the center of the building that anyone can get out to. The people who work there are very caring and take good care of the people that are there. Management is very good about making sure that we understand everything that's going on.

My Dad has Vascular Dementia and my sister and I moved him into Brookdale Silver lake, thinking they would take good care of him. We were very wrong. It didn't take very long to realize that the staff is under paid, and not enough staff to take care of him. We found women's clothes belong to other residents hanging in his closet. His clothes, shoes, eye glasses, electric shaver, and other personal items would consistently go missing. His hardwood floor in his room was always sticky from urine and smelled of urine every time we visited weekly. We liked the some of the staff there, but there hands were tied because of the corporate office. It's about the bottom line with them, not the residents well being. Avoid this place, don't put your loved ones in this place. We moved our dad after 2 months, there are better places.

My mom is at Brookdale Silver Lake. It is what we needed for memory care. When I visited, it was a locked facility, and we didn't realize that she would need that until then. The staff is cheerful and very patient. They have a pavilion-type thing where residents could go out, water flowers, sit in the shade or sun, and enjoy themselves. They have hanging gardens as well.

My mom moved to Brookdale, and she seemed happy so far. The staff seemed to be very caring, very kind, and I liked that. Her room is very nice, and it’s clean. They try to do activities to stimulate the residents, but my mom doesn’t really participate. She thinks the food is really good. I liked that they have a resident doctor, and they have a beauty salon; so my mom can get her hair done.

We did visit Brookdale Silver Lake. It was very expensive; it was not affordable. Their rooms were not spacious. I didn't like this facility. They need to bring the cost down.

Clare Bridge was okay, but it had a smell of urine and that was a total turn-off. The dining room was not nearly as cozy, the rooms were nice, and the facility was okay, but the facility mom is in now was way better. The people who were at the main office were very knowledgeable, nice, kind, and I didn’t have a problem with that. I think it’s a good place, but the other facility stood out more. I saw the exercise, and art program, and they had nice outdoor facilities.

My wife is in Clare Bridge, as it was recommended to us by friends who have had spouses there. The people are all nice, and it’s a secure facility: that was important. It’s well-maintained and it’s close to me. The staff, they’re always in contact and good to deal with. I’m very comfortable and very pleased with it.

Clare Bridge at Silver Lake wouldn't take my mom. We did like the unit, the way they were set up and everything. Its cleaner and more organized. The accommodation is very nice. We don’t have to worry about buying new furniture to fit in a studio apartment. I saw everybody throwing a ball when I visited. It seemed like an ok place, I think my mom would have been ok there. We liked this one better than the others.

Clare Bridge seemed very clean and well maintained. It was also very organized. They had activities going when I was there. I like their activities; they seem to be interesting. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. The director showed me around and I like the rooms and the services they provided which included hair salon, church services and things like that. However, this facility was very expensive.

The staff seemed kind and accommodating, the residents seemed happy and relaxed. They also seemed to be taking it easy and enjoying there time at this facility. I conversed with many of the residents, all of them were enjoyable and great to talk to about all sorts of topics. Other than the residents and caretakers there were also fun and interesting activities available to the residents, some of them being puzzles and computer access, a lounge, community activities, and even karaoke to bring enjoyment and fun to everyone. The area around, and the facility itself were in great shape. All of the paint was in pristine condition, the infrastructure safe, and the fixtures and materials in the rooms were in great shape and seemed to be designed to accommodate any number of disabilities easily. None of the workers or the residents seemed to be in a particularly angry, stressed, or depressed mood. Everyone seemed to be friendly and there was a nice community feel about it.

My aunt lives at this facility and I visit her about twice a month. It's a beautiful home! It's located right near Silver Lake and has a view of the water. The entry is decorated to be very welcoming and home-like. All of the staff I have interacted with have been friendly and helpful. My aunt has some memory loss and they're always so gentle with her. I've never tried the food myself but my aunt seems to like it. I've also been there during scheduled activities and my aunt and her friends really seem to enjoy the activities. My aunt had a fall a few months ago (she slipped when trying to take a shower herself even though she normally needs help with that) and the staff was really responsive. She was in the hospital for a short time and her favorite caregiver even came to visit her in the hospital and bring her some items from her room. Very nice touch! If I had to live at an assisted care facility, I'd definitely like to live at this one!
