My mom moved into The Elms of Lynchburg. We're not allowed to go in there yet. We only had one visit and that's it; it was when we first put her in there. Since then, we have visited her, but it has all been outside.
I would say it is pleasant. The person who gave us the tour was the director of admissions for the parent company. She was very good, because I also met her before at another facility. She gave a tour to my mom, and she was very helpful. She actually drove my mom from Richmond to Lynchburg when she moved.
Her room is nice. It might be a little bit smaller than what she had before. At her old place she had a private room; now she still has a private room but with a shared bathroom. Before she had her own bathroom, but it seems to be working out fine.
I have not tried the food, but I think it is OK. My mom does not like food that's cold, so I know they've had to heat it up several times, but I think a lot of that's due to my mom being in the last room they serve.
The activity director is there to keep the residents involved, and I know they have a Facebook page because my kids see it.
