I loved everything about Bright Leaf Place. The only thing was it was too far. Other than that, the apartment was nice and they really talked to us. They showed me around and the people were sitting there doing things in the memory care. They had them out doing stuff and that was the main thing I loved about it. They weren't just sitting in their room. They had them painting flowers and they were going to have a garden in the raised boxes this coming Spring. Their menus looked nice. I liked that, and the facility looked really good.

I like Bright Leaf Place. I had my mother in another facility, but I had to find another place to put her and I had to do it within the next day, and Bright Leaf was the only place I could find that could take her right then. Her room is nice and big. She's got her bed in there. I carried her lift chair down there. She has a refrigerator and a dresser. She's got everything she could possibly want in there. The staff members have all been good. Everyone has been great. They play bingo, they take walks, they have painting class, coloring class, puzzle class, and ring toss. She hasn't complained about the food. The food I saw looked good. They keep them busy all the time. My mother used to walk the floors all night, but she doesn't do it anymore, because they keep her busy all day. From what I've seen, it's really clean inside. They have older people in there, and mama responds to them a whole lot better than young girls.
