My brother moved to Memory Care of Westover Hills. He loves the facility. He is doing well, and he likes it there. I feel comfortable with him in that place. It's beautiful and clean. The people are nice. I didn't try the food. I was there when they were eating lunch. The food looked good, and he enjoyed it. I like that they make sure that the residents go out of their room to socialize and walk around the facility. They have a mini physical therapy with a group to help move the legs on so on. They have locks on the doors, so they can't get out when they want to; I really like that.

The Memory Care of Westover Hills is very secure. We've had my mom in 3 different facilities already, and this one has the best security, so far. There are 2 doors you have to go through just to get into the lobby, and then another two locked doors to get to my mom's room, so there are four doors in total that you have to go through. She was able to escape from the other two facilities, literally just walking out, but with this one, she cannot just walk out. Security is their best feature, for me. Her room is nice and big and has a very nice walk-in shower. I would like to say it's safe, except for when we had an incident with a granite window ledge that broke and gave her two large wounds on her bottom. They apologized and said that the feature should never have been in a memory care room. It was a thick, two-inch granite ledge that broke from the hospital bed. The room itself is nice though, beautiful, large, and has a nice window, so it's a good room. I have not tried their food but I have been there when they started to eat and the food looked healthy and good, so I have no complaints. They have a beautiful, large, atrium-type dining room that is very nice. The other thing I like is that there are a lot of activities for the residents. The one I was most happy about is that they bring church services every Sunday morning and that's important to my mom. They have a salon, a movie room where they can watch movies, and a piano and music room. They have nice amenities and they also do massage therapy so I think that's amazing. One issue I saw was that, and I don't know if housekeeping comes under maintenance but, every time I have visited her, her dirty clothes bin is completely overflowing to an unsafe point where it was on the floor so that kind of worried me a little. I hate to post negative stuff just because these facilities are so important to people but maybe not the housekeeping part because I'd like to give them a chance to correct that situation. Their front desk staff is the friendliest staff I have ever met. They're just very friendly on the phone and in person.

When I went to look at different memory care places, the Memory Care of Westover Hills was the one that felt most comfortable. It was the most home-like and less institutional. They have a small workout room, a massage room with aromatherapy, daily activities, a little barbershop, and a hair salon. Their activities include bingo, crafts, movies, and Bible study. They have an enclosed outside courtyard with flowers and a little area that has car pictures on it. Those guys who like cars can go sit and talk to one another about what they used to do in the past. The staff has been very good, too. Everything looks wonderful.

The residents stay very drugged up. None of them say anything. It is not clean. I've had different loved ones in 5 facilities in San Antonio and this is tied for the worst. I'm not sure if this is partly due to covid, but it is awful.

The Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Facility layed out great for walking and staying busy. Many activities offered. The extra lights at sundown and the areas to go when wanting to stay up safe and things to do. Food great and always available. 24 hour nursing and that safe secure feeling makes us feel much better when leaving Dad.

I had some friends that referred Memory Care of Westover Hills to me and I was very satisfied with what they have as well as the staff. We chose it because it was so close to us. They seem to be very organized and the personnel are very nice. The rooms are clean and the place doesn't smell. The food is very good. It's the same food they feed the residents and I've been very satisfied with it. They have activities, and they try to get my husband to participate. They have bingo, crafts, and several things that the residents there can do. It's all very clean and it's kept organized.

We went to Memory Care of Westover Hills, and it was good. They have a nurse of duty, and they're more involved in diabetic-type patients. Their price is a bit higher, but it's very nice, and it was our second choice. It's neat and pretty, and the layout is a wing type. They people were very nice, the administrator waited for us to come, and brought my wife lunch one day.
