My parents had been with Briarview since they opened. They started out in assisted living and then moved to memory care. Dementia is a difficult thing to deal with. Sometimes the person with dementia behaves in ways that they wouldn’t if they were healthy, and the staff needs to deal with a variety of behaviors. It was hard for our family when both our elderly parents came down with dementia. The Briarview staff was with us every step of the way. I think what sets Briarview apart is their staff. I think they do a good job of screening the people they hire. These people are some of the unsung heroes of our society….they do a lot of difficult things without complaint, and with compassion. We are thankful that our parents were at Briarview during the last years of their lives.
