My father stayed at Parmer Woods at North Austin for a couple of years. It's a much larger place than where he is now. They have both assisted living and memory care in one building. Ignoring hygiene for a couple of weeks at a time, not being present when you're trying to find them, having a high turnover, and not having staff, except one person in the entire department, that had been there more than a year were reasons why I gave the staff a two-star rating.
They would bring in musicians, and they did trivia in the TV room. They also seemed to be emphasizing having just the TV movies a lot these days. Communication with management is difficult and they don't seem to be very responsive to the residents. My mother is still there.

Parmer Woods at North Austin was really nice and very spacious. I didn't see any activities, but I know that they had them just from discussing it with the person who gave us the tour. It was very clean, very bright, and had lots of windows. I would give it high ratings. The rooms were very nice.
