My mother was left unattended at Orchard Park despite being a known fall risk. She had a massive subdural hematoma after her last fall and died 3 days later. Different excuses were given as to why she was left alone in the community room. Additionally. we were told the cameras were not working. Later we were told the cameras were working but not recording. During her stay there, we met several family members of other residents who were also unhappy with the care there. They are understaffed, unsupervised, and dishonest. AVOID THIS PLACE.

We moved my husband to Orchard Park at Victory Lakes memory care because it's convenient for us, it's closer. Our experience has been very good. His room is very nice and they take good care of him. The maintenance is all good, and the staff is attending him very well and they're always there when he needs them. The place is clean, they're very attentive and they make sure he eats. It's much better than any place I've seen. You can go and visit your person there in their room any time you want. They have TV, they have snacks, they have physical therapy and their rooms have refrigerators. I haven't seen the food, but he's a very picky person, and he eats it. His room is always clean, when I come in there he's clean and the bathrooms are clean. At home here, he just stayed in his recliner, but up there he's in a wheelchair but he's walking around and he's out in the hallway visiting.

We took a tour of Orchard Park at Victory Lakes, and we've decided we would put my mother-in-law there. I like the people that were there and the employees. The director was very thorough on everything. The rooms were nice, and the bathrooms were nice. It was a real nice place. They have arts and crafts for them to do, and they had a beauty shop. I don't know what you would call it, it wasn't a church type thing. There was a place for different religions all in the same room. It was for people who wanted to go to church on Sunday. They can't go anywhere, so they have that thing. I think it was done on Saturday and Sunday that they had some type of Church meeting thing. It felt pretty homey, that's another reason why I'm putting her in there.

I wasn't impressed with Orchard Park at Victory Lakes, it was okay but I didn't see much of what was going on. They have an activity room which was small with nothing going on at the time. The actual staff was not busy, they were sitting around on their phones. The place itself was clean and the building was nice, with hallways that were nice, clean and pleasant.

I did not choose Orchard Park at Victory Lakes because their memory care was bad. It was small and all the residents that I saw were waiting for 15 minutes for their activity to begin. I had a resident tugging on my clothes asking me how to get out of there. They had a screamer. It was unfortunate, but the man screamed every five minutes. That would not have been an appropriate place to put my mother-in-law. I didn't have a comfortable feeling there. The staff member who showed me around was great. She apologized for the screamer. She was abrupt with the residents who were asking her why their activity was 15 minutes late, but she was a very nice lady and the place was very clean. It is so important for patients with dementia and Alzheimer's to be on a schedule and when the schedule is disruptive, it is unsettling for the residents, so that's something they really need to improve on.

It was lunchtime when we visited Orchard Park at Victory Lakes. The food looked good and fresh. The vegetables had good color. They were having spaghetti, and the place smelled very nice. There was nobody sitting by themselves. Everybody was chatting and happy. They had different activities going on. Everybody was engaged. If they were tired and wanted to go back to their room, they could do that, but they encourage them to do activities. The staff was very kind. Their kitchen was very clean, the rooms were a good size, and monitored. The ladies running it were top notch. We could get her out of there and take her somewhere. They sit right behind the hospital. The facility is brand new and beautiful.
