Rooms are small, staff turnover is huge. Food is bad. Management is inattentive to requests. Terrible experience with this facility. I DO NOT RECOMMEND it

The facility is pretty, but the staff is not trained to take care of memory care residents. There are some wonderful staff members, but the management does need to have training for the majority. The management does not seem to care what goes on. They do not take families concerns seriously. It was a waste of time trying to get to the bottom of any issue, and there were many! However, with that being said, Tammy who was in charge of activities was wonderful and the residents love her. That is the only thing The Grandview has going for them. Better not lose Tammy! We are extremely happy where our loved one is now. Do not be afraid to make a change. It can definitely benefit your loved one and the time have to spend with them.

The management at this facility is lacking in Memory Care. They do not know how to adjust to the personality differences of each dementia patient. If your family member can speak and express events then The Grandview looks for a way to get them out. If they cannot express themselves then you are safe. The Executive Director, Nichol has no clue how to run a business much less how to care for patients. Tammy, the Activities Director is awesome at getting each resident to join in and our resident loved her! We have moved our loved one to a new environment and they are thriving...thanks to a great, trained staff and wonderful upper management. We are greeted by name and our loved one is always foremost in their minds. Do NOT go by outward appearances as The Grandview grounds are beautiful. It's what is inside the doors that I lacking. For the longest, they ate on styrofoam, etc. I worry for the residents we left behind.
