COVID was an excuse for Avanti staff to do as little work as possible. My wife was not showered or shampooed regularly and her room and bathroom were dirty. Stay away! There are better places in the area.

Avanti sells their facility as a five star facility. Their website it states it's mirrors a boutique hotel with lots of amenities. The amenities were not a huge factor in deciding on this facility. The salesperson did a great job on selling us on how well our parents would be cared for. This good be further from the truth.
My parents did not receive adequate care and I moved them out within a month. This was not an easy decision but the right one.
I spoke with a couple of employees which seemed overworked because of being short handed. I was advised management is not stable and they have had at 6 administrators and nurses in the past two years.
When you are paying over $9500.00 per month you expect high quality care.
If you are looking for your loved one to be cared for this is not the facility.

Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound's people were friendly. The staff seemed to be caring towards my husband. They seemed to care about helping me understand what dementia was really like. I especially enjoyed the nurse, Christine, as she was very helpful to me. I didn't particularly like the type of food they served to the people in memory care. It didn't seem to have a lot of thought into these people and many of them had a hard time eating. The food wasn't that appetizing to me. They watched a lot of TV and they would try to keep them entertained throughout the day by reading to them. They also painted. His room was kept clean. I just don't think a lot of the staff in the memory care unit understood how to take care of a person who was in need of the medical care my husband was in need of. The building itself was very nice, and the inside was welcoming and always clean. The outside was not very appealing to look at. I think they could do better with landscaping. A lot of the people I talked to before I put my husband in the facility didn't explain things very well.
