Simpatico Cielo Vista had very nice common areas. I liked the way they set up the kitchen. I liked the lady that was in charge of admitting a person. She was excellent. They have an excellent package of what happens next, what you bring, and what you keep at home. The common areas weren't that large. They did have an excellent theater kind of area, but there were not a lot of tables where people could sit if they wanted to do that instead. So it made me wonder where the activities could take place. The person that gave us the tour was fine. The cleanliness was excellent. The areas that I saw were good or above average, but they just weren't big enough.

My grandmother has been in SunRidge at Cielo Vista for two months now. It's great. Even from before she was there, the staff was responsive, very friendly, and patient. They answered all my questions and my mom's questions. Once my grandmother arrived, they did a really good job of welcoming her and helping her get settled in. When I went in myself to go visit her, it looked very clean. They allowed the residents to go for a little walk inside. Once Covid is better, they'll be able to do more activities together. Everybody I saw there seemed happy. When I got to sit down with my grandmother, she was telling me that the food is not bad, and the nurse staff is really friendly. They greeted me when I was there as well. It seemed like they treat all the residents very respectfully and very friendly. They're overall kind. It has been a really good experience for both my grandmother and for us just knowing that she is somewhere safe, and the people there are very capable. They have a variety of accommodations. They can either get a completely private room with just my grandmother, which was a little bit more money or she could have one roommate. Her room was very spacious. They helped arranged the furniture, so that it looked like it was sort of two rooms, so she and her roommate can have their own little closets and their own little space and then they just share a restroom, which is inside the room as well. The facility is a very manageable size. It's not a huge place, but they have a modest little garden area and then some benches where people can sit outside. They've been great. The staff are all very friendly and responsive. The facility is pretty big. The rooms are kind of set apart, so the room feels private, but there's a lot of open space like windows and light so that even if you're kind of wandering around inside, it feels very open. It is a little bit expensive, and that was a major consideration.
