CARE & WELLNESS

We have full-time nurses on staff and the unique feature of an on-site, private exam room; allowing residents to visit a doctor—either their own doctor or an Avanti-provided doctor—without leaving the community. In terms of technology, Avanti sets an entirely new standard for care at a distance, utilizing innovative telehealth, electronic health care records and electronic medication administration records.

My husband liked Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake. We did go and have lunch there and that's our first choice. It was very clean and very updated. The staff are trained and they get in-service monthly on memory care because that's what I was looking for specifically. The assisted living side looked fabulous like a high-end hotel type of situation. It's fairly new and everything is very orderly and very structured. They've got nice areas for people to go and watch TV. If you want to watch sports, there's an area over there. If you want to watch a movie, then there's a spot someplace else. You can even have a TV in your room if you want it. They have an activities director. There are quite a few staff onsite 24/7. There was a lot to recommend them. I know they have a lot of people that can't have salt or they have restricted diets, but the food was OK. I wouldn't say it would be gourmet, but it was good, and if you wanted something different or if you wanted salt, they had it available for you. It's not like you're going to go in and have institutional food. I was able to see into their activity area where they were having something going on. The furnishings of everything just looked like a high-end hotel.

Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake has been wonderful. The staff is very caring. They keep us up-to-date on anything that happens whether it's bad or good. I couldn't say any more nice things about them. They're great. They have daily activities like daily exercise. Meals have been great and my mother likes them. She's in memory care, and security is very good. You can't get in or out without someone unlocking the door for you in that section. They also have an assisted living section. The memory care section is large and it's separate, and it's secure. We're really happy with the care there.

I took a tour of Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake and it was very nice. I already have a room for my husband, and he's just waiting to be transferred. The place itself is very nice including the dining area. They will be doing activities with him, they'll take him to dinner, or to museums so he can go out a little bit. They will also be doing physical therapy with him. What made me choose this community was the location mainly. But it's also one of the nicest places I have seen, and the cheapest that I found.

My mother was in another facility in the Towne Lake area and after going through four Executive Directors in just over one year, I moved her to Avanti where the quality of care was tremendous. Great caring staff, great management team and very available to answer questions. My mother passed away last October, but spent her last month receiving hospice care at Avanti and the coordination of care between Avanti and the hospice organization was excellent. The nature of memory care is such that there will always be challenges, but I can say in all honesty that Avanti was so far superior to the original facility that I felt guilty having not moved my mother quicker. I give me full and complete endorsement to Avanti.
