My friends moved into Orchard Park at Southfork Memory Care. It has a nice layout, and it looks nice. The room is okay and nice. The staff has been outstanding, and the services have been really good also. We haven't really observed any activities because of the lockdown, apart from my friend saying the food is really good, and they're doing a good job feeding them. They have a beauty/barber shop, a crafts area, they also have an area for television, an area for church, and an area that you can go outside and walk around, but you can't get outside the building.

Orchard Park at Southfork was not clean and seemed very disorganized. The manager was very nice and friendly, but I did not like its appearance overall. The room they showed me seemed dirty, and the whole place had a really bad odor. There's a lot of people out walking around. It was a lot more money compared to the others I visited.

All I saw in Orchard Park at Southfork is the memory care. It is a very small place. They only have 16 residents and only 2 bathrooms for those 16 residents, which would not have been good for my mother-in-law. They have beautiful gardens. It is very clean and very simple inside where the residents could navigate but it only has two bathrooms. I really liked the people who showed me around. They seemed very caring and understanding. They have small staff because it is a small place. The tour experience was nice. They were very nice and concerned. The residents looked happy; they were all watching a documentary. I didn't see a lot of things for the residents to do, activity-wise. Yet, it felt homey and for someone who needed memory care, that would be essential. But the 2-bathroom part is the bad part.

We put my father-in-law in memory care at Orchard Park. They have two sides for memory care and assisted living. It's very nice and has lots of well-run activities. We were pleased with it and chose to go with it. My dad has only been there for a month, but the staff seems to be attentive to him and provides all the services we were looking for. They do memory games, social hours, gardening club, sing alongs to help with memory, and evening movies after dinner before they retire for the evening. We had some issues with them, but generally, they've done a good job.
