What I liked best about Inspired Living at Sugar was the building and the amenities. They had a swimming pool, and they had this big landscaped area where there's a nice little walking area. The building itself was very beautiful, large, and spacious. The shared rooms did not have the wall divided though. It's definitely spacious, except there's no privacy because it's open. The shared rooms were less expensive. I mostly interacted with the sales director. She just didn't walk me around. She actually shared some good tips and information, too. Everything was beautiful looking. The inside was nice and clean looking. I didn't get a chance to see any activity at that time.

My friend will be moving into Inspired Living at Sugar Land. I liked the light, the openness of the place. I like the grounds, the opportunity for people to have to go out in screened-in porches and walk outside, and the fact that they don't have to feel locked in. I like that. I like the caring staff. Everybody seemed to be happy and working with the residents. People were comfortable. The facility is nice too, the rooms had windows, the group rooms were large enough to accommodate people. They have a lot of space. They have a beauty/barber salon. It was big enough to have the space you need, big enough for people to be close when they needed to be, but they didn't have to be together all the time.

My mother is a dementia patient. From the start, she has received substandard care. They are poorly trained to work with people with dementia unless they are in a wheelchair. My mother has had a sore on her bottom that was caused by not bathing or changing her. Wound care for a cancerous biopsy was non existent. Nurses called my Mothers dr to refill prescriptions that they never originally wrote.
