Mustang Creek Estates is a new concept in Assisted Living! We are a residential style assisted living neighborhood designed entirely for seniors. Our neighborhood consists of 6 unique houses with 10 to 13 residents per house and one of our houses specializes in Memory Care. At Mustang Creek Estates, we combine the peace of mind of a compassionate assisted living community with a personal home-like living environment.

Our mission is to provide seniors with a high quality, residential type of assisted living at an affordable price.

Our all-inclusive month to month rent covers:

3 home cooked meals a day & snacks

I love Mustang Creek Estates Allen. It would be my choice because of it being small housing, so it's easier for my brother-in-law to get around. The pricing was in the same range as the other places we looked at; it's just that it's more convenient for us in the other one. I really like the staff, and they cooked right there. The residents were just waiting to eat, and they would come out of their rooms because they could smell the food cooking. You could just tell that it's just kind of like a home situation, so I really liked it. We saw the lady that was the cook, she could do just about anything. She was preparing the evening meal. It looked nice and clean. I was really impressed, and it was just a smaller type. I really liked everything about it.

My dad moved into Mustang Creek Estates last September. It's very, very homey, they're very friendly, and he's very happy there. They have an amazing activity director, and she plays games with them. On Christmas, they had ugly sweater contest and wreath decorations on their door contest, and every Friday they take them on a bus to get ice cream, but they'll just stay on the bus while the staff goes in to get the ice cream, just to get them out of the house. She gets them all together, they play different games, she videotapes it, and she'll send it to us.

Our interaction with Mustang Creek Estates - Allen has been limited. We have not been inside, and we don't know any of the staff, but we did know the executive director who just resigned yesterday. So we're back to square zero. No one can go inside yet, but we have had good email communication. We have had to do a couple of things for Mom. We just stood at the door and the staff would take the things to her. We talked to her and she's settling in. She appears to be doing well and we've gotten a couple of reports from the staff so far. There are only eight residents at the moment, so she's got plenty of room in the community and plenty of attention. So that's all working well. Appearance-wise, it's an excellent community. They had a enovated unit that was unoccupied, so I saw that unit. The new one looked really nice. It was basically repainted and refurnished. The community is 15 years old and they had a 15-year special going on. They have six units with room for 13 people in each unit. Four of the units are assisted living, which would give you about 52 people, and there are two memory care units, which would be 26 people. Right now, with the inability to move people in, they're down to eight people in one unit. The other unit they took the opportunity to rehabilitate that, to renovate it, paint it, and deep clean all the floors.
