I think Deane Hill Place was a little more upscale than the other place I toured. They had a separate building for memory care. They had to put in a code to get in. It was very secure. They had places that the people could go out into a park and sit just with the building around and they couldn't go anywhere. I think that was a wonderful, wonderful place. We saw both assisted living and memory care, but mainly we spent our time looking at the memory care. The memory care part was just one level, and I thought it was great. It was very easy to get around in and it would be very good for people who have memory problems. It was a great facility, and they have kept in touch. They wanted to know right after I visited them what I thought about their facility.

My visit at Deane Hill Place was good. It was my second choice. The staff was excellent. She was knowledgeable, very friendly, and polite. In fact, she has followed up several times even though she knows that I went somewhere else, just to check on my husband. They gave me a bag of cookies. It's an older building.

We chose Deane Hill Place for my parents because of the size of the room and the amenities. The staff is great, and my parents love the food. They have daily activities and they play cards and bingo, but right now, they're restricted because of COVID. They have outside activities, but they're not doing them right now. I would recommend them because of the level of care that they're providing my parents. It's great.

My dad is at Deane Hill Place and so far, so good. I was able to go there when admitted. His room is just a basic room with a bathroom and a sink. The staff seems really nice and the place looks very clean. They have activities but I have not seen the schedule yet. They have a salon, a TV, a fireplace, and he has a TV in his room.

This location has an unreasonable and non-refundable community fee. If you are unhappy with this place,as we were, and decide to leave, you will walk away from $4500. This location has gone through many ownership and administrative changes over the years, and the unevenness in quality of staff reflects that. I was told by one of the better staff that it was very difficult to fire poor performing staff because of the corporate structure. If your loved one tends to "elope",as is common with Alzheimer's patients, this facility is very easy to escape from, and the staff seems to have no clue as to how to get one back in the building . Complaints about failure to properly care for my husband, lack of cleanliness, and the callous treatment on the part of some staff went unanswered until I gave notice of my intention to move him.
