I like Brighton Gardens of Brentwood. The tour was very good. Claudia was the name of the person, and it was very, very nice. I would certainly consider it if we ever do that. I like the fact that several of their staff had been there a lot of years and they seemed to be fully staffed. They seemed to have a big common area. The eating area looked nice. This is all in memory care. Not having been familiar with places like that, I didn't know really what to expect. It's an older place, which I don't mind because it kind of had a softer feel to it. I liked it. The rooms looked ample and the bathrooms looked like they would be easy to use. Everything looked safe. They're private rooms. I noticed a large area where people were sitting and it was bright, open, and airy, and it was a place they could go and be. They had special things for veterans. It could be that they had pictures of their veterans who were there. It was a nice little display and that would be meaningful to my husband. I didn't see any people sitting around that were disturbing. They all seemed to be sort of occupied. It was just a pleasant surroundings that I saw that day. I just had the tour and Claudia who gave it to me was very nice. It was a nice experience all-in-all. I only saw the memory care part and it was on the first floor, which I liked, rather than having to get on an elevator and go up. The dining room looked nice. The building from the outside was old. When you drive up, there's no yard space, it's concrete, and then you go in the front door. As far as being out, there's a lawn and a garden.
