Management asked to meet with me about my family's concerns, and we met today. I appreciated their open communication and addressing every one of our concerns. We met for nearly an hour and a half and took all the time we needed to feel comfortable and to answer all of our questions. Communication lines are open going forward, as well.
Staff has been hired to oversee memory care and to reintroduce activities and enrichment. The unit has also been cleaned and items are being purchased to brighten the community and dining rooms.

We are currently seeking another place for our loved one.
1. Cleanliness-never cleaned, bugs, toilets -use your imagination. Floors are never swept or mopped,
2. Food-no chef, the last 2 have resigned, never delivered on time, meats are tough and require a sharp knife. Sandwiches are severed often.
3. medicine is not given at the proper time.
4. NO activities
5. Memory care residents are placed in a common area to sit all day.
6. Chairs for residents smell of urine.
Take tour, look in the rooms, check out the floor

I went to look at The Terrace at Mountain Creek. The facility was nice. It was up on a hill, kind of in a wooded area, very pretty. The staff members were good; I like them. The inside, walking inside, it had like a mountain lodge kind of feel to it. The dining room was nice. They have a hair salon, a physical therapy room, a gathering room, a dining room, and an elevator. The outdoor was beautiful. It felt like you were in the woods, in the mountains. The landscaping was pretty, and it was quiet.

The Terrace at Mountain Creek didn't have any outdoor area. They had a couple of tables, but the other two places we looked at had outdoor areas that were actually enclosed where people could get outside and still be locked in. At this place, the outside was not contained. It was on a really hilly area and it had sidewalks for the residents, but a lot of them have trouble walking and getting around. The outdoor space was not good there.
They didn't really let us come in. We only got to the entrance part of it and then we had to kind of walk around. We didn't get to see much of the inside of it because of the COVID situation. We went in the back door, and we got to see a room briefly. We were in there a lot shorter, and we didn't get to really see the whole thing. The other two places really seemed to be on top of it, and I didn't get that impression at The Terrace. I saw their memory care. I didn't really meet that much staff.
