My Mother was a resident here and I kept getting calls in the middle of the night that she had fallen and was in the ER. I asked if I could buy alarm mats for her room and was told no. I ended up moving her and when someone from DHEC was at that facility I asked him about it. He told me I should have been able to do that without any problems.

My mother moved into Atria Forest Lake. They have some interior painting to do, but other than that it was fine. It was well kept. The staff was very helpful. The food there is excellent. I visit my mother three times a week, I always taste the food myself, and it's good as a Triple-A restaurant. They have physical activities, bingo, they have a weekly meetings with residents that are capable of their own care. My mother's not one of those, she has severe Alzheimer's, but any service you want, they're pretty active in their social activities for the residents, and then they go out on outings pretty regularly. Her room is perfect for one person. It's about the right size for one person in that condition. The bathrooms are the very good-sized bathrooms for whether you will use a walker, or wheelchair bound. There's plenty of room. The misgivings I could give on the room is because of age. The electrical could be updated with some additional outlets, and some additional lighting could be put in. The closet space could be a little bit more, other than that, the room is about right.

My wife will be moving into Atria Forest Lake. It's excellent. It's a bright place and has a lot of good light. They have outdoor spaces, even in the memory care unit. They have planned meals and planned activities for people who just need a little bit of help, or people who are in the memory clinic, but it differs obviously. The payment that I pay in memory care is all inclusive, except for a few minor things like getting a haircut or some things of that nature.
Everything is covered. The marketing person was excellent and very accommodating, and so was the director of the facility. The cleanliness was really good. The first time I went there, I noticed that they had some sort of vehicle that bumped into their portico, and was kind of obvious, and the time I came back on the second or third visit, it was all fixed and looked wonderful. I think they do a good job trying to keep maintenance up. I had a good feeling about the Atria, and I just decided that will be a good place. It's also very close to where I live.

Dad is getting excellent care in the Memory Care Unit and from the staff interacting with him. His room is decorated with memorabilia from his former home, i.e. pictures, photographs, favorite chair, cuckoo clock, family Bible, etc. When I arrive for a visit, the front desk person always comes to the door in a timely manner and often calls me by name. As I am being led down the hall, I usually see other staff who acknowledge me and are willing to assist in any way. Upon entering the Memory Care area, I find residents watching tv, playing games, conversing, even walking in the courtyard or relaxing on the park benches. When I am not there, I am regularly told that Dad participates in most scheduled activities. I can breathe a sigh of relief that my Father is being well-cared for and his needs are being met. A big THANK YOU to The Atria Staff!

My dad was here a year ago in assisted living but had a health issue that required him to leave and go to rehab. When he returned he needed memory care but on his first day back the entire staff greeted him by name. They truly care about my dad and always go the extra mile for he and I.
The facility is not too big and feels very "homey" to us. Dad has a lot of opportunities for activities from bingo to classical music.
He (and I) feels safe, secure and cared for. I can wholeheartedly endorse Atria

We have a good relationship with the staff. We are kept informed with any concerns related to my mom. The facility is kept clean and everyone is friendly and professional. Although I have not first hand seen the food service due to the pandemic. What I did see on an early visit looked great so not being more familiar I feel safe to at least rate it four stars
