About This Community
Welcome to Waterford Grand, an assisted living and memory care community in Eugene, OR.
Waterford Grand was developed with an understanding that home is something different to everyone. For some it's a comfortable place to rest and unwind after a long day of activities and socializing. For others it's a quiet retreat where you can enjoy the company of a friend or the serenity of nature from a deck overlooking the river.
Here, seniors can live comfortably and securely knowing they have 24-hour access to one of the highly trained, compassionate and respectful professionals on our personal care team. At Waterford Grand Assisted Living, residents needing care – and loved ones now providing that care – can enjoy the full potential of their lives.

Tammy
The gal who we met with at Waterford Grand was wonderful. She really took time to listen to what we were dealing with and gave us some suggestions, took us on a tour, and introduced us to some people. She was just very, very attentive. It wasn't like she had a speech ready. It was kind of an individual situation. She said she wanted to take a little extra time with us just to answer some questions or give some recommendations. She gave us information to look at, so we really liked her.
The facility was very, very nice. It's next to the river. They had assisted living and memory care, but we went down to the memory care section. The staff seemed like they cared about the people in the facility, knew people by name, and every individual with them when they would walk by would make little comments, just like "How are you doing?" sort of thing.
They have a gym area, a pool, and a salon. They have some nice amenities like that.

My mother died of Covid while in the care of the Waterford Grand. She had lived there for about 7 years, was fully vaccinated but exposed to Covid by an unvaccinated employee, I believe. Since she never left their campus, we can’t think of any other way she was exposed to Covid. Approximately 18 other residents tested positive and one other woman died of Covid at the same time as mom. It was not only a horrible death but we were not allowed to see her, so she died alone, surrounded by strangers.
During her years of living in the memory care unit there, we’ve had several issues with the care she was receiving but didn’t move her out because that would be more traumatic than trying to fix the problems that arose.

The person that I'm a legal guardian for moved into Waterford Grand. The place is beautiful and the layout is very pleasing and easy for folks to get around. I'm very pleased with their communication and their service. The staff is very good and excellent. They have music, lectures, and activities pretty much on a daily basis in the facility. At least once a week the person I'm taking care of goes out into the community. She has done really pleasing, out-of-the-community activities. The dining area looks good.
