My uncle has moved into Cascades of Grants Pass. The staff seem very knowledgeable. They are all nice. It is a nice clean place. They also were available. We had to get him into a home as soon as possible after he left the hospital. I talked to them before, so it just kind of went that way. His room is smaller than where he was before, but it is nice. He has a window. They have a dining and living area with television and stuff. It seems really nice. It is all on the lower floor. He's not upstairs or anything, like he was at his other place. He shares a restroom with one other person, but the room is private. I did not taste their food, but I did see several of their meals. They looked very healthy, very delicious, and very well set up. The dining area is nice. There are different neighborhoods (as they call them), and so not everybody dines together. Each neighborhood has their own dining area. The folks that live in that one section dine together. It is close to their rooms, so they don't have to go a long way. I think that is nice. The atmosphere is pleasant. Everybody seemed in a good mood and smiling. Everything was very tidy and clean. The staff all seemed to be in good moods and very helpful. They have different activities for them. Each day they have the activities listed on a monthly calendar. They do different things with them. My uncle was a preacher for years, so he had a little Bible study he did at his other home. They are going to help him if he wants to start that here. They have television, and they have crafts sometimes. The first day my uncle was there, it was ugly sweater day. They all were wearing their ugly sweaters, and they had a little contest.
