My mom is living in Avamere at Hillsboro, and it's been great. The staff is very helpful, very friendly, very mindful of the COVID requirements, and accommodating. That has worked out well for us. The facility is nice and well-kept too. The food and the services are great. They have a good variety and the residents have options if they're not particularly liking the menu items.
She's sharing a room with another resident, and this setup is only specific to memory care. There's outdoor space, a full calendar of activities that begin in the morning along with some exercise, then they have games, happy hours, ice cream socials, outings on the weekends where you go out and tour, and things like that on Sundays, but right now, they're somehow limited. They're not visiting places and can't bring in outside entertainment and things like that.
