Brookdale Geary Street was a nice place. They had lots of activities for the seniors there, and it also appeared that they had several people on staff to help. They're well kept up and nice, and they had good amenities. I did not try the food, but they had a large variety and it looked like it was healthy.

I liked the atmosphere at Brookdale Geary Street. It was very nice, and it didn't smell like that smell of people in nursing homes. It just smelled like somebody's home. It was clean. I saw a studio apartment, and it was perfect for anybody. I went out into the flower garden out back, and I also went to the dining room. It was absolutely beautiful. They served me lunch there, and it was awesome. We got there about nap time, so when we were looking, people were in their rooms. The place was just beautiful. The staff was very helpful, very caring, very supportive, and very knowledgeable.

My mother has moved into Brookdale Geary Street. The facility is actually more like a home setting rather than an institution. The staff is very pleasant. They seem very caring. My mom's room is quite nice. It's actually like an apartment. It is like a studio apartment, but it's much nicer than a hospital room. The dining area is really nice, it looks more like a cafeteria type dining hall. I can't say anything for the food because my mother just moved in. They have movies, and the amenities seem pretty nice there. They've got activity, workstations, so people can go over and keep their hands and their minds busy doing things that they used to do. They have natural sunlight, and they have lights inside the building. They also have a very beautiful courtyard out in the back that they can walk in or sit at and enjoy the flowers; so that's pretty nice. It's a very pleasant atmosphere.

I have a family member who currently lives in the memory care. They started in assisted living and moved to memory care because of increased confusion due to Alzheimer’s. All I can say is I made the right choice. I sleep soundly at night knowing my family member is safe and loved. It saddens me to see negative reviews below, because this is not an accurate picture that is painted. Brookdale Geary street has been the right choice for my family, I know it has been and will be for many others. I hope people will not be detoured by others negative reviews. Please take the time to go in, see the place and meet the team. You won’t regret it.

My grandfather is in Brookdale Geary Street. Everything including the food seems to be good. The caregivers we have met are fantastic. They're really good folks and they care for the residents. The amenities are great and they have a lot of little things for the residents to do. They have a work bench for folks to keep their hand dexterity up while working with screwdrivers, screws, and locks. They also play bingo and bowling. They try to keep them moving and active.

Brookdale Geary Street was very good to work with. It was the place we selected to move into. The cleanliness was excellent. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. We were looking for memory care assistance. It was very clean and well taken care of.
