My mother moved into The Veraden. We looked at a lot of different places, and this place was smaller. I felt like they get more one-on-one attention than a bigger place. She does have dementia. The places we looked at, I got lost; they were just too big. We just decided that this one was more fit for my mom. We liked it a lot better. The staff is very polite and very helpful. Anything I need, they helped me with it.
They have all kinds of activities. I know this month, they're doing bingo night. They have a Halloween thing coming up, and they took them to Braum's for milkshakes. They have arts and crafts and all kinds of things. She said the food is good; she's not starving. I like the way it's laid out. It depends on their level on what they offer, so they take that into consideration.
