The people were very friendly. The staff showed me the assisted living first, but with my husband's dementia, I said that he would definitely need the memory care part, so the person who gave me the tour me took me into that part too. There were people sitting around tables, and there was a nurse or a volunteer who was with somebody out there working on a puzzle together, so that was good. I also saw some of the staff helping those who had trouble eating. She then showed me the rooms and how you have to have a code to get in. There was one room in the memory care area that was getting ready to be remodeled. The assisted living room was nice, too, and she said, "You could bring in your own bed and your recliner if you wanted to. If you want to bring some of your own personal touches, you can do that." Overall, it was a pretty nice facility. She was very informative. I had asked her if they could transport my husband from there to the dialysis center. She was fairly new so she went and checked in at the office, and said that they cannot transfer from there. You have to have a service that comes in to get him and take him to dialysis.
