I transferred my father to a different facility as soon as I could. My father is doing much better at the new facility and I am much happier and less anxious. This facility did not live up to the promise of special attention and care that they advertise in any way. There were too many issues, including but not limited to: my father had numerous injuries; the staff were often rude; the food was mostly heated from frozen items; there was no cleaning crew; the staff were overworked; my family’s and father’s confidentiality were not honored; etc.

I think Parkcliffe Alzheimer's Community is the homiest, the most practical, and the most reasonable in price. Their rooms were a nice size. Nothing is new there, but the staff seemed to be very friendly and very caring. That's the one I picked for my mom.
I looked at the menu. You didn't get a choice of food each evening. They had one meal. The residents helped prepare it, and it was more like home. Parkcliffe is a series of group homes. They are homes, so I think they're based on more of a family type atmosphere rather than institutional.
I picked them because I liked the staff. The people were not in their rooms sleeping. They're allowed to sleep as long as they want to, which I liked. There were activities going on there. I saw people playing cards, watching TV, or just doing what a typical 90-some-year-old would do.
The price was the most reasonable. They were just more home like. I liked the home setting. There's a series of seven houses, so it's more of a home setting. I liked it.

We have moved my parents into Parkcliffe Alzheimer's. It is a nice and very clean place. Their strong point is their memory care. It fits the bill for both my parents. My parents are on the second floor where they have a big living area with their own private bathroom. Off of their bedroom/living area is a big living room. The living room is shared with three other people. Parkcliffe is a good place. The staff members are very caring, very nice, and friendly. The food is good too. They have bingo, cooking classes, and church. They have outings where they take them to the zoo, and they take them to see the Toledo Mud Hens.
