The tour of The Arbors was very nice. They actually brought me up to a room. The rooms were very large, and it's a former hotel, so the halls were kind of straight. It's an older building, but the common area downstairs when you come in the lobby were very nice. They were clean and well-appointed, and they had nice comfortable chairs. When I got into the locked area, it kind of looked more institutionalized because of the fact that it was an old hotel. It had long straight halls, everything was white, and it almost had a sense of a hospital. The rooms were very large, which was very nice, and they all had private bathrooms. For my wife's needs, they didn't have the enhanced license, so I had some concerns about that. Other than that, I thought it was very nice. The staff who accommodated us on the tour was very knowledgeable, very helpful and very kind. Obviously, when you're doing this kind of thing, it's not the easiest thing to do emotionally and she was very understanding, cooperative and helpful. They said that if I was interested, they would do an evaluation. I think the biggest factor was them not having the enhanced license. I went through the assisted living area and saw some activities with them. I think I saw some activities in the memory care center as well where some of the residents were seated and bouncing a beach ball around and to each other. The grounds outside the building were very nice.
