Birchwood Suites is a wonderful, enhanced assisted living community. Our aunt is there, and she is so happy. The grounds are beautiful, its clean, and the food is great. The staff is very caring. My family member is in their memory care unit called Lavender Gardens, but they also have assisted living and independent cottages as well.
What I love best about this place you feel warm and welcome when your there. A real family feel when you walk into the community. Also, from all the places we visited when we were looking around,this place is one of most affordable places on Long Island.

My mother moved into Birchwood Suites. It's been a very positive experience and the people are nice. When we visited they showed us how things work and showed us a full tour of the place. She's very comfortable with the size of the facility. It isnt too large, and she's more happy with the small community feel. The staff member who gave us the tour was very good, polite, attentive, and she seemed in good spirits. The place is more residential in appearance, and the staff members know everybody. They play memory games, they have people who come in and play music so they can sing along and dance, they play board games, card games, and bingo. My mother seems to like the food. They seem to prepare it well and its very appetizing.
