My mother-in-law was at Stone Valley. I think that they were an awesome place. They were very personable, very kind, patient, and professional. The memory care facility was nice and clean. It didn't smell. The residents seemed to be very comfortable and happy. I saw residents enjoying music, puzzle building, and doing some artwork. They also had a good variety of meals. I was very, very pleased with everything except for the billing. They want to charge me for two months when she was only there for one week. So, I still got to straighten that out.

I really liked Stone Valley. It was just very warm and decorated very nicely. I like the fact that they try to get their residents out of the rooms every day, and they do their best to keep them engaged. The way the facility was laid out was very nice. They had just all kinds of different little areas in there where the residents could go. All the residents were very visible. They obviously try to get them more engaged and not sit in their rooms all day. I really liked the staff. He was a very nice guy, very open, he's been doing this for a long time, he's been in health care, and he was very caring. They were all very cordial. They all engaged with us, watching the staff with the residents, they also seemed very caring towards them. The dining area was great, very open. The rooms were nice, and they had a variety of options for rooms. They had a daily list of things that they do. They also had a list of the menu. They have a chef on hand that actually tries to make everything from fresh ingredients, and they try not to use anything with preservatives, so it's more of a healthy diet. They had arts and crafts rooms. They had an area where they could watch, they had old movies that were playing. The rooms were set up more like a family room setting where they had fake fireplaces in there. They had everything that goes with a fireplace, just not the fire. They just simulated the fire going in there. They had areas where they could just do simple things. They had one, and they had a bunch of ladies sitting around, and they were folding socks, just these simple things they enjoyed doing. They had all kinds of different little sitting areas all around in the hallways. They also had a courtyard where they could go out and sit, and they had bird feeders out there, and they had areas where they could do planting and things like that. It was very clean.

Stone Valley took very good care of us when we moved my mother-in-law in. Since we've been back to visit, we've got great reports about how she was doing. So, they have a very attentive staff and she seems to like them. She's got a spacious room even though she shares it with someone else. The memory care facility is clean. There are activities such as music playing all the time and some local entertainment where people come in every so often to sing and whatnot. The dining room is close to all the rooms. They have a nice lounge area with a television and lots of couches and chairs. The hallways are wide and have railings. They have memory boxes in each of the rooms where families can put mementos. There are gardens around the building with sidewalks and benches. It's kind of on a hill, so it has a bit of a view of the mountains behind it. It's very clean and well-kept. Since she's been there, she has put together puzzles, watched television, and attended the performances that were on site. On the whole, it's a pretty stellar facility.

Stone Valley was very nice. They have three landscaped courtyards for their residents to walk in, a full range of recreational activities, and it looks like the food is decent, too. The rooms all looked fine. I had nothing bad to say about it except that it's very inconvenient for me and I probably won't use them because I have to go so far out of my way to get there. The staff was very pleasant and he was there to sell the facility and he did a pretty good job of it. I came away thinking this is a possibility, but it's so far out of my way that if I can find something closer, I will probably choose something closer. They had a menu that looked appealing. Whether what they produce is appealing or not, I don't know.

Stone Valley was gorgeous and it has a nice layout. I like the circular motions so nobody would get lost or be in the hallway. The rooms were very nice. I like the dining hall, I love the big open concept. It was very nice and everything there, in my opinion, was a five. I like the place that would be my actual preference because I feel that my mom needs a smaller place. I thought the staff was excellent. I like the way they make popcorn and have the kids for the memory care patients. I liked it all. There wasn't one thing I didn't like. I got to meet several staff members, I would highly recommend that one. With this one, you can have your own room, you can have a double or a three a shared room, which is good because you could tell how a patient gets interaction. So instead of me getting my mom a private room, I would get her with some people because she needs to talk. She likes to chat and wants to be in a social community. If you're a husband and wife, if you both have a little bit of a memory issue, you could both go there and have the big room, which is beautiful. They could live together in it and I like that you could keep the husband and wife together. Activities are kind of cool how they have the things set up in a room. The art room had its own little walkabout so, after the art, they could go or they could set out their art projects. There were snacks and stuff and the dining room was pretty cute and pretty cool, they all got to sit and hang out together. I love the entertainment room where they sit and watch TV together. Some can sit just on the recliner, take a nap with a blanket, and some sit and watch TV. You could see there were different walks of life there and different degrees of fitness as well, too. It's not so much just straight memory care, it's more like assisted living and memory care. They match you up to whoever you need and that's who you bunk with. So, you're not in contact with a person that has a bad memory or something like that so you don't drive them crazy. I like that. The facility was gorgeous. When you walked in, it was inviting. It wasn't overwhelmingly big like the others. Stone Valley is one where they have busses, they take them on tours and things like that. That one gives a little bit more personalized care.

My father-in-law stayed in Stone Valley, and we highly recommend it. We chose it because it had memory care, it was available, it had a very clean facility, it's convenient, and it had great care. The staff was very compassionate and was always there. The facility was almost brand new, it's immaculate, and it had lots of activities. His room was also really nice and quite homey. The location was very convenient. It's right off the highway and it's quiet.

My mother moved into Stone Valley. The first impression has been good, but some things that were supposed to get done didn't get done. I visited my mom today, and they took us into the dining room but kept us away from other residents. It looks like it's a nice dining room, and like it's adequate for the residents. They seem to have activities, they had my mom color. She doesn't like to color, but she did it anyway. It's comfortable. It's in a nice area, and it's a nice building.

I've been exceptionally pleased with everything about Stone Valley: the facility, the staff, and the support in the transition of moving my wife there. I couldn't be more pleased with everything. They have made so many people available so they can have her personal needs taken care of: her hair, her nails and toenails. It's a purpose built Alzheimer's unit. It has motion detectors in the ceilings, they go check on them at night, and they have staff members walking around the hallways interacting with them constantly. They play old movies all day long, and they have an activities director. Her room is shared, but she's the only person in there right now. They put their pictures in the little bio outside their door. It's been a big relief knowing the care that she's getting up there. It's a well-structured facility, and everybody is trained specifically for their duties. They have three meals and three options for their entrees at every meal.

I felt like Stone Valley Alzheimer's Special Care Center was a really nice facility. It was clean, and it seemed like there was plenty of staff there. I go by there almost everyday, and it seems to be working out really well for my mom. The rooms are great, and there is plenty of room. My mom is in a shared room, which I never thought she would like. She has a fabulous roommate; they work really hard to pair them up with somebody that they would get along with. Their furniture is nice; she could bring in some things. Everything is nice, new and in very good condition. My biggest thing was I wanted for my mom to be able to take her cat with her, and this was one where they allowed pets.
