When we urgently needed to move Betty from her Assisted Living facility to a Memory Care facility, we frantically began our search. After calling several facilities and visiting a couple of them, we made an appointment at Tender Loving Home.
As we entered the large living area we were impressed by the comfortable atmosphere and the cleanliness. The living area had couches, TV’s, bookshelves and two large aquariums with beautiful fish, all of which made it feel like a home. The dining area was open and we saw residents talking and playing games. One gentleman had a contagious laugh that had everyone smiling. We then saw the ultra-clean and safe rooms and the spotless commercial kitchen and were hooked.
We were further impressed when Leo asked several questions about Betty, such as the type of food she liked, to begin to get a handle on what he could do to help her adjust to her new home.
On move-in day, Betty quickly settled into her room with its own TV, a walk-in closet, and patio doors looking out to the courtyard giving her sunlight and an open view. Although confused about why she was somewhere new, she remarked how she liked everything. And then the facility’s little dog added the final welcoming touch by jumping into her lap and making a fuss of her.
We then visited Betty regularly and were impressed at how well she was groomed, and how nice she always looked. It was obvious that she was getting the care she so needed and deserved, and Lily always kept us apprised of any health changes they saw or any needs she might have.
We celebrated Betty’s 97th birthday on September 22, with Cake for all but, unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse and we began to see a rapid decline over the course of the next month. However, the care that she was given was remarkable during her last days and
she passed away peacefully on 22 Oct.
Without reservation, we recommend Tender Loving Home to anyone searching for personalized and professional care for their loved one.

My grandmother is currently at Tender Loving Care Senior Residence. It's specializing in memory care, and they only have like 12 residents there. My grandmother has been there for about two months now. It's very clean, and the staff is very kind. It's smaller, so it feels really like a home. They don't have quite the same amenities. My grandmother doesn't have a bathroom in her room, but they always have been assisting her like getting her set up in her chair and watching TV with her snacks and stuff. They're very caring there, and they've been very attentive to her. The only reason that she's moving is that we don't have any family that lives in Las Vegas, so we want her to be close to us. Otherwise, she would be happy there, we just can't visit her there as often.
They've taken good care of her. My grandmother looks a lot better than she did when she was released from the hospital into their care. What they've done for her has helped her, and she looks healthier and stronger, so I think they've spent a lot of time working with her and trying to get her back to her healthy state. They have activities. I remember them saying they have karaoke, and she was participating and going out listening to the karaoke. When we went in to visit, everyone was kind of having a little naptime in the living room. Everyone has their own big recliner, and they all can sit and watch TV. It was very nice. Everything was very clean. Maintenance-wise, it looked like everything was taken care of. It's more like a house. The other place sort of feels like a hotel. So that has its advantages like people feel comfortable there. They have a big open kitchen that is very clean. They cook the meals there for everyone. You walk in and it smells clean and nice. It's on the very expensive side because we were able to get her into this place in California, which is less expensive.
