WHY CHOOSE SERENTIY LIVING AT MOUNTAINS EDGE?
The first reason to choose Serenity Living at Mountains Edge is … we provide a high-standard and high-level of care to our Residents.
We are licensed and endorsed to the highest level of care a Residential Group Home can have in the State of Nevada. We can care for and retain our Residents who have very diverse health conditions. This is very important as you do not have to worry about having to move your loved one to another facility if their health deteriorates. We can care for almost any health condition up to the point the Resident would need 24-hour skilled nursing care. With a couple of exceptions, we can care for Residents who suffer from a multitude of health conditions and here are just a few:
Chronic Illnesses such as Memory Care (Dementia/Alzheimer’s), Parkinson’s, Arthritis, Asthma, Heart Disease, COPD, Stroke, Obesity, Osteoporosis
Terminal Illnesses such as Cancer, Lung Disease, ALS, Liver Disease
Physical Disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke
The second reason is we make this process an easy transition for you and your loved one.
Choosing a home to move your loved one into is a very stressful and trying process. We understand this is an emotional undertaking and we sympathize with this very difficult choice. Therefore, if we are fortunate enough to be your choice, then our goal is to make this transition as easy as possible, we will assist you through the entire process of paperwork, medical testing, room and equipment set-up, and finally transporting your loved one to their new home.
And finally, the third and most important reason is OUR ambitions are the same as YOURS.
At Serenity Living, we want your loved one to feel …

My mom already moved in at Serenity Living at Mountains Edge. It is a house, and it is just a kitchen and living room situation. I like it because she feels more at home there.
The atmosphere is calm and comfortable. I'm not going to say it has been excellent, but I will say it has been good. It has nice and quiet surroundings. Their staff is good. They're not overly attentive or underly attentive. They are just good. Mom has a shared room. I have seen the meals. I haven't tasted them, and they look good.
Unfortunately, there isn't any activities there. Honestly, most of the people there are pretty much bedridden, so activities would be impossible for them. They just have the TV going, and that's pretty much it. There are no coordinated activities there for them.

My friend was at Hillside Manor at Mountains Edge. I like the staff. The staff was very caring, very gentle, very accommodating, and very friendly. They had nice accommodations and great area. It's a gated community. I'm very satisfied with the whole operation. My friend was there for six months. Everything was great. It was very well kept. It was a very upscale community. The rooms were kept very well. The place was in great condition. I never had the food there, but I was told it was very good by my friend and the other residents. It's a comfortable, caring place to put your loved one.

I was a past resident at Hillside Manor at Mountains Edge. I was found on a street in downtown Las Vegas, unconscious, having been a victim of a mugging. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital. It was discovered while I was in the hospital that I was very sick and needed 24/7 care. I was visited by the owner, Allyn, in the hospital and he agreed to move me into one of his group homes. I was discharged from Summerlin Hospital sometime in June of 2019 after being in the hospital for 3-4 weeks and transferred to Hillside Manor. I was not able to walk, and I was extremely weak and frail. The caregivers were outstanding, very patient, and understanding of my situation. They bathed, feed, dressed, and even cut my hair while I was there. The food was excellent most of the times but not so good every once in a while. Overall, the food was good quality. I was not able to participate in many of the activities while I was there, but as I got stronger, I would participate. I did not realize how beautiful the home was for weeks as I was too weak to notice when I first arrived. The home is immaculate, and the pool area is great. Over the next several months, I started to get stronger and stronger healthier and healthier. At that time, the owner started helping me find an apartment. I was a veteran, and the owner knew the head of Veterans Village, so they helped me get back on my feet and was able to secure an apartment in November 2019. I could not even walk in the home when I first arrived. I could barely take care of myself and within 5 months I was back living independently. I cannot thank the caregivers and the owner of Hillside Manor enough for taking great care of me. My experience was fantastic and would absolutely recommend this home to any family looking for a place for their loved one.

My brother was a resident of Hillside Manor at Mountains Edge. Everybody was great to him. He was there for three months before he passed, and they did everything they could for him, so I have no complaints at all. The staff is so good, and I have nothing bad to say about them. His room was big, he had everything he needed there. He got a TV there, he got his phone, and he had his table. They were good, and I'm very satisfied with the care. He really didn't have any activities because he was bedridden, but they do things in there for some of the ones that actually can get around. The place was immaculate, nice and very friendly. He was very ornery at the end, but they put up with him. He was in the assisted living level and then he went into memory care because he started losing it. If I could recommend them to anybody that I know of, I would in a heartbeat. They're really, really good.

Mother has been a resident of Hillside Manor at Mountains Edge since last year. It is a private home with 8 residents. It is not like an institutionalized place; it is a private home. It has been good and has been the best place I have been able to find for my mother so far. Even though she has dementia, she is still high functioning and the only sad thing is that most of the people there are really out of it or they're completely bedridden and they don't leave their rooms. That's my only complaint and there's nothing they can do about it. There have been a few times when they have had good residents that my mother had a good relationship but they got better and they left.
They're very nice people and I have nothing bad to say about them, and so far, it has been a good experience. My mother is mostly fine. They assured me that she is getting fresh food and fresh vegetables every day in the morning. I asked her about her food and she said it's fine. She was a gourmet chef, so she is picky. I would recommend it. She has her own room which she likes. However, I don't think there are any activities that I'm aware of. I haven't seen any activity that would be engaging for her.
