My husband will be moving into The Chateau at Gardnerville. It was clean, well-kept, and the people were kind. The tour was very complete, she took care of everything. The place is close enough to me. It was all good. They had hair care, pedicures, and manicures; it's complete with everything. It felt homey, they were taking care of people.

My mom moved into The Chateau at Gardnerville. They've been great. They've been jumping through hoops for us. So they're good. The staff is very kind, very good and the facility itself is very, very nice. It was very clean and I have had no problems. They were supposed to have her in assisted living, but after her second reevaluation, they thought it would be best if she was in memory care. But the apartments are beautiful. They have great views of the Sierra. It's just a nice facility. It's in a non-congested area, so it's a lot quieter. I would recommend them to anyone. My mom is pretty picky, and she said the food is good. In memory care, they take them on outings, and I know they do that on assisted care as well. I know that they have movie nights, and they play cards, they have an exercise class, and they have a yoga class. It sounds like they offer a pretty good range of activities. It's just that my mom can't participate in them. They're a little bit more expensive than some, but the value is worth it.

The Chateau at Gardnerville (Formerly Brookdale Gardnerville) was very nice, but my mother was too far gone to be in senior living, and as far as the memory care, she wasn't at that level yet. She was right on the border. The dining area was very nice. It was one of the nicest places I've visited. The residents seemed to be well cared for.
