Fallbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care is beautiful and all that, but the thing that caught me the most was the staff. They knew so much about dementia. Their knowledge was amazing. They know how to talk to my mom and how to try to help her through these things. So, that was more than just the physical being of the facility, it was the fact that the staff that I talked to were so knowledgeable and excited to have her come. That was super nice. The rooms are not huge, but in mom's case, it's going to be good. Another thing was some of them don't have showers. That's also a good thing, because that's where she's been falling a lot and she won't let the staff help her. So, if she doesn't have a shower in her room, it will be a huge plus. The facility has these neat little stations down the hallways that had old-time farming stuff, old-time cooking stuff, some sports stuff, and little tables. I can just see my mom walking up and down there. They paint every door a different color. It's bright and kind of fun. It was clean and meticulously organized. Everybody seemed to know where to go. Their common areas are magnificent. My mom has always liked to cook and bake, and there's a huge kitchen area that the staff helps supervise, but she'll be able to bake. That just made her eyes brighten up when I told her she could do that and how beautiful it was. So, I was very impressed. My husband was with me that day and he also was quite impressed. The dining area was beautiful. There are tablecloths and napkins folded. It looked special. They've gotten their team leaders, management, and everyone involved in this, trying to make it work, so that mom will be safe. They went out of their way. They're not just out for the money. Karlie was amazing. Norma is new in her position, but she chimed right in and seemed very knowledgeable in everything they were doing.

I'm very familiar with Fallbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care because my husband was placed there. It was brand new; it had just opened up. He was in the memory center for a short time before he passed. He passed away two years ago. It was very comforting. It was decorated absolutely beautifully. They make you feel at home. I love all of the staff. I got to spend three days there myself with my husband on his last three days. Everybody treated you like family. They were more concerned about me because he was in a coma. They were very welcoming. They were just the best. The facility was beautiful, and the staff was fabulous. I pretty much brought in my own food when I was staying with him in his last days, but from what I saw, the food was all great. We only participated in a few activities. I also know the person who directed all of their activities.
