Service is available 24/7, and The Southwood ensures that you or your loved one receives care in a comfortable and engaging environment. The Southwood takes a holistic approach to caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We pair this individualized care with our life-enrichment activity program, designed to keep our residents active, fulfilled, and engaged.

We also offer respite care, or short-term stays, which is a good option for seniors who want to give their normal caregivers a break, recover after surgery or other medical issues, or simply want to test the waters before making us their new home. Our respite guests will receive all the same benefits as our full-time residents.

It was very clean and very caring. The facility is being remodeled at the moment. It looks as if it's going to have a fresh look and I am looking forward to sending my loved one there. The room was nice sized and able to support a full-sized bed, a dresser, and a television. It wasn't overly spacious, but it wasn't too cramped either. The staff was very friendly and professional. I did not meet a great deal of staff, but I was impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism of the ones that I've met. There were fitness rooms, a TV room, and an outside courtyard. Overall, the facility seemed to be well equipped to accommodate someone with memory problems. I was impressed with them.
