We decided to put my mother-in-law Woodland Terrace because it was more spacious. They had more room to roam. She is in memory care, and they just seem to be taking care of her well. The facility is good.

My mom will be moving to Woodland Terrace in Cary. The facility was beautiful. The day we did our tour, we got to see some activities that the residents were doing. They were just finishing up activities, and we were there near lunchtime. We got to see lunch and just the way the place operated. The employees interacted with the residents there and there would be activities for my mother to participate in. Plus, their employees were treating the residents well, which is something we would want for my mother. The memory care site is one story on the assisted living side. It's a multi-story building, but the memory care site is one story which I like. I also like the fact that there are many doors on the memory care side that require a badge to get in and out. So being that my mother has Alzheimer's, I like the security it gives. It gives the sense of security that she just won't be able to wander out by herself. I really like that she can walk around, but she just can't go out the door because she doesn't have a badge. I like that security aspect. There's also a pond in the community that she could walk around and they have a garden. Gardening is something that my mother likes to do so that's something good about the facility.

I toured the Woodland Terrace in Cary. I visited their memory care. They were very nice, but for me it was the ultimate cost. It's 5 stars, all the way across except the cost. I love their sitting areas, and I love the openness. I love the engagement of the staff, and I love the outdoor spaces. It's just that when my mom got to the later stages of her disease, it was going to be cost-prohibitive for me; I didn't want to have to move over again. The rooms were nice, very well laid out and roomy. I saw their beauty salon, where they would do nail care, and the TV room. I saw more games here too. From a distance perspective and the location, it's a really nice central area and easy to get to.
