At Joyful Senior Living our priority is to ensure that our residents feel at home.

We offer the highest standard of care along with a compassionate home-like environment where our Residents will feel Safe, Respected and Engaged. We strive to create an environment where the Residents' daily needs are not only met but exceeded. Joyful Senior Living provides each Resident with 24/7 care and assistance with personal daily needs, medication management, laundry, housekeeping, healthy and nutritious meals and recreational activities to help stimulate, not only with cognitive but also with social skills. Our beautifully renovated residence has an open floor plan that features fully furnished, private and semi-private bedrooms, as well as a spacious kitchen, great room, and dining area. Our home is centrally located within the Lake Norman Area.

When you choose Joyful Senior Living, a wide variety of personalized services awaits, each developed and delivered by our skilled staff members to help make your life more comfortable and enjoyable. Our staff consists of Certified Nurse Assistants, Medical Technicians (supervised by a Registered Nurse), and an Activity Director, all of whom are highly qualified and thoroughly trained in the most efficient ways to care for our Residents to their satisfaction.

We are highly qualified to take care of residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. We work diligently to keep them safe and engaged. An Interdisciplinary team develops a Care Plan (which is updated as changes occur) addressing personal goals by taking into consideration to the unique needs and wants of both our Residents and their families.

We provide our Residents with 24/7 assistance and Emergency Care to make sure there’s always help when needed. We always welcome and encourage feedback on how we can improve our services! By the time many of our community members arrive at Joyful Senior Living, most require some degree of health and well being monitoring. Our Assisted Living Home provides complementary and personalized recreational activities to promote cognitive and physical skills, along with emotional and spiritual support. By catering to the individual needs of each of our residents, we strive to make Joyful Senior Living feel like home.? Joyful Senior Living provides the support required to carry on with dignity, with the same love and care a family member would provide. This support includes nutritious and healthy meal preparation services, transportation arrangements, daily housekeeping, linen changes and laundry services, dry cleaning arrangements, etc.

Joyful Senior Living has been a blessing to our family beyond measure. We could not ask for more attentive and caring people to watch over my mother. After previous experiences in both home health care and a larger assisted living facility left us to fear we would never find quality care for her, we found JSL and moved my mom in as soon as possible. Gino and Jessica are devoted to their resident’s wellbeing and it’s obvious they choose their staff very carefully. Not only is my mother always clean and well dressed, she is well fed with homemade meals every day. Gino, Jessica and their assistants engage with their residents and we have received many videos in which my mom is singing along with other residents and staff, or is being encouraged to dance or laugh. While some these things are becoming increasingly difficult for her, it is important to us that those caring for her continue to interact with her in these ways, and that is exactly what is happening at JSL. The home is always clean and there is always music playing. Often, visitors come to sing or play music for the residents. Gino and Jessica communicate with our family in a way that my mom’s previous caretakers never did. While my mother has some difficulty communicating with us, we always know when there is a need or a concern, when she’s had a less than great day, or when she’s had an especially good day. Our family is grateful every day to have found caretakers such as these.

My mother in law Pat, has advanced stage alzheimer's. We chose JSL for the small setting environment. Being the early days of the COVID pandemic made choosing JSL over a large facility a little more simpler decision. Not gonna lie. The first month was not easy. Being in the new home, away from the few things she could still recognize was confusing for Pat. Extremely challenging for JSL, and stressful for our family. Gino and Jessica were updating us often thru text and video. Most were episodes of Pat acting out. Can't imagine what was going through her mind. Unfamiliar people,place ,and things. I'm sure she was scared to death. Not to mention because of COVID. State Mandate stated, no visits because of quarantine. We just knew JSL was going to call and tell us "This is not going to work". Exact opposite! Jessica and Gino dug in and went to work. They helped us with finding ways to make Pat feel welcomed and at peace. Helped us find more qualified health care that deals with her illness. We are about four months into this adventure. Thanks to Jessica and Gino and the JSL team.We feel Pat is in a safe and comfortable place. The last video we received was of Pat singing with the residences on the back porch to live music. LIFE IS GOOD!

Most importantly, the owners are great. They are sincere, organized, and very involved in the day-to-day management of the home. They hire staff in part based on their level of compassion for the residents. The home and rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated. The food is very good. There is real interest in helping residents do more of what they like to do. Communication has been terrific, with honest answers to questions and proactive notifications for important matters. I can relax knowing that my loved one is being well cared for in a home that she enjoys.

We recently moved our 84yr. old mother from a larger Assisted Living Facility. Mom was needing more one-on-one care with her Dementia. We didn't want just another large ALF and she didn't need a Skilled Nursing Facility. What we were looking for was a smaller place with a higher caregiver-to- resident ratio. A place that could give our mother the loving care she needs. Already we feel blessed to have found Joyful Senior Living! From the moment we visited their Assisted Living Home, we knew we had found the right place for our mom! Even though Mom is still settling into her new home, we can't say enough good things about the owners, Jessica and Gino ,and their special staff ,who have been so attentive,loving and caring of our mom. We can already see her improving and thriving under their care. Covid adds a whole other element to her current care. At JSL, abiding by all current restrictions, we are able to actually visit with our mom.(Something we had been unable to do until now.) It is obvious visiting with her has lifted her spirits greatly! She also is enjoying the company of the other residents. The freshly cooked food smells wonderful when we visit and mom is eating very well! The home itself is lovely and has been set up to more than adequately meet the needs of the residents. Another big plus for us is the fenced-in patio and backyard which allows Mom to be outside as much as she wants (something else she couldn't do before!). It also allows us to visit with her more than one at a time, also a blessing!...I would not hesitate to recommend JSL to anyone who is looking for that Special place that will be able to give your loved one the care and attention they deserve. We are looking forward to a long, happy relationship with the new "family" we have found here!
